The Ministry of Mines and Mining Development today held an External Audit Entrance Meeting for the 2025 Budget Year Audit at the Permanent Secretary’s Boardroom, Head Office.

The Parliamentary Legal Committee today held deliberations on the Mines and Minerals Bill [H.B. 1, 2025], in a significant step towards modernising Zimbabwe’s mining sector and strengthening the legal framework governing mining operations.

The Ministry of Mines and Mining Development was represented by Deputy Minister Hon. Dr Eng. C. Makwiranzou and Permanent Secretary Dr. W.T. Wushe. The session was chaired by Hon. Advocate Zvibgo.

Discussions centred on stakeholder engagement and consultations on key legal and constitutional provisions of the proposed legislation, which is expected to enhance transparency, investor confidence, sustainability, and growth within the mining industry.
