The Department of Civil Protection has organized a joint workshop on Lessons Learnt from the El Nino induced drought responses. In attendance are Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as development partners. The 2 day workshop started on 30 June 2025 - 1 July 2025

The Department of Civil Protection together with other Government stakeholders and partners convene in Marondera for Multi-Hazard National Contingency planning workshop on 9&10 October. The plan will guide preparedness to hazards associated with the rainfall season. This follows the release of the 2024/25 climate outlook by MSD. On the 11th of October the country joined the rest of the world in commemorating the International day for Disaster Risk Reduction.
