Hope for the future🙌
This is what going to university means for 26 young refugees participating in the DAFI scholarship programme in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. This week, they gathered in Harare to discuss their progress and actions in 2022.

So pleased to have been at the German Embassy Harare this morning while receiving my Jacaranda Photography prize. Meeting Ambassador Volz & his team was such a milestone. I am grateful to the Embassy for creating these all year events.
As the world fights the pandemic, has partnered w/ govt & local orgs to promote community adoption of COVID-19 prevention behaviours. Also, we have been building vaccine acceptance targeting hesitant populations.

75-year-old Alfred Yandikani from Kasimure, who was at Karoi District Hospital was hesitant to get vaccinated.
Many like him have changed their mind and are getting vaccinated. Today we present the 40 outstanding personalities from , , and , who have been selected by a jury of experts from over 300 submissions as the first year of the new African-German management program "AGYLE – African German Young Leaders in Business".
The participants cover a broad spectrum: from start-ups and new technologies to media companies, agriculture and tourism, interesting industries are represented. We launched the programme and the establishment of a long-term business network together with Agentur für Wirtschaft & Entwicklung (AWE) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with the aim of intensifying the economic potential of African-German relations and accelerating the development of new business models.
