Germany to donate a further 2,35 Mio Euro in humanitarian aid to ZWE

In response to the humanitarian crisis in Zimbabwe Germany is donating an additional 2,35 Mio Euros. The funds will be made available to the World Food Programme´s emergency response programme that is targeting food-insecure people including refugees in order to help them meet their basic food and nutrition requirements. WFP´s assistance will be in-kind as it ensures beneficiaries´access to food given regional cereal shortages, cash liquidity challenges and high transaction costs associated with mobile money transfer platforms.

Liebe Landsleute,

Thorsten Hutter
Botschafter
