🌟 Mhoroi! Nice to meet you all! 🌟
My name is Chizuru Yamashiro.

I will be volunteering at Mutare Polytechnic as a Marketing Officer. My main work will focus on digital marketing, including public relations and sales promotion. I also hope to support digital marketing classes for students and teachers and share practical skills with them.

Before coming here, I worked at an advertising company as a Web Marketer, where I created content and advertisements for different companies. I’m looking forward to communicating and working together with people at my workplace and in the community.

I’m also excited to learn more about Zimbabwe’s culture, history, food, and nature, and I hope to create value through my activities here.

I’m very excited to meet you all and begin my new life in Zimbabwe. 🇿🇼✨

はじめまして。2025年度3次隊の山城千羽鶴と申します。

ムタレ・ポリテクニックにて、マーケティング隊員として赴任いたしました。主にデジタルマーケティングの分野において、PRや販売促進に関するアイデアの提案から実践まで取り組んでいく予定です。
また、学生の皆さんや先生方に向けて、デジタルマーケティングに関する授業のサポートを行い、実践的なスキルの共有にも貢献していきたいと考えています。

これまで私はWebマーケターとして、コンテンツ制作や広告運用を通じて価値を届ける仕事に携わってきました。これまでの経験を活かし、配属先の皆さんや地域の方々とのコミュニケーションを大切にしながら、共に活動できればと思います。
そしてジンバブエの文化・歴史・食・自然に触れ、相互理解を深めながら、現地に根ざした活動を通じて持続的な価値の創出を目指してまいります。

Our volunteer program continues to make meaningful strides in building resilient societies. This April, we were delighted to welcome four new Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs), who will further strengthen and support the efforts of this important initiative.

The dedication, passion, and hard work of our volunteers, experts, missions and staff do not go unnoticed. On this special day of worker recognition, we celebrate them all and sincerely acknowledge the incredible work that they do every day.

We also extend our appreciation to the workers across the various organisations we collaborate with. Their outstanding support plays a vital role in the success of our activities and truly makes what we do worthwhile.

Today, we celebrate commitment, resilience, and teamwork, and in the true spirit of this day, we proudly salute all workers!

✨ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐙𝐈𝐓𝐅 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝!

From showcasing JICA’s impactful activities, to our Representatives attending key strategic platforms such as the International Business Conference and the Diplomats Forum, the experience was nothing short of remarkable. We were honoured to welcome many cherished and distinguished visitors to our Japan Corner, including H.E. President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, H.E. President Duma Gideon Boko of Botswana and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Zimbabwe, Hon. Prof. dr. Amon Murwira.

What truly made the experience unforgettable were our visitors, whose curiosity, enthusiasm, and meaningful interactions with our staff and volunteers brought the Japanese experience to life, creating lasting memories and laying the groundwork for future collaborations.

A heartfelt thank you to the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company ZITF team and to everyone who visited us and shared in this incredible week. 🙏

✨ 2026年ジンバブエ国際貿易フェア（ZITF）は、まさに目を見張る素晴らしいイベントでした！

JICAの活動の紹介から、国際ビジネス会議や外交官フォーラムなどへの参加まで、そのすべてが非常に印象的な経験となりました。ジャパンコーナーには、エマーソン・ダンブゾ・ムナンガグワ大統領、ボツワナ共和国のドゥマ・ギデオン・ボコ大統領、そしてジンバブエ共和国 外務・国際貿易大臣 アモン・ムルウィラ教授をはじめ、多くの来場者をお迎えできたことを大変光栄に思います。

そして、この体験を本当に忘れられないものにしてくれたのは来場者の皆さまでした。皆さまの好奇心と熱意、そしてスタッフやボランティアとの心のこもった交流が、日本の魅力を生き生きと伝え、記憶に残る瞬間を生み出すとともに、将来の協力関係へとつながる大切な礎となりました。

Today, Prof. dr. Amon Murwira, received a farewell courtsey call from the outgoing JICA Zimbabwe Resident Representative, Mr. Shigeki Furuta, at the Munhumutapa Offices in Harare.

Mr. Furuta reflected on his three-year tenure, describing Zimbabwe as a “wonderful country” and noting significant growth in relations between Zimbabwe and Japan, particularly through high-level engagements and platforms such as Expo 2025 Osaka.

He highlighted JICA’s contributions in key sectors including agriculture, health, infrastructure, and education, and expressed hope that cooperation would continue to deepen.

Prof. Murwira commended Mr. Furuta for his role in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries as well as advancing development cooperation and he wished him well in his future endeavors, acknowledging his contribution to enhancing relations between Zimbabwe and Japan.
