A generational loss
What a loss to our generation? Popularly known as Nduna in the MDC circles and Commander in the youth fraternity, Hon Mahlangu was a fearless leader who stood by his principles.
His loyalty to the party constitution and the President was uncompromised.
His commitment and dedication to the cause of the people’s struggle was unadulterated.
His adherence to the party core values and the broader democratic struggle was undiluted.
His love to his people and the progression of his constituency, Nkulumane was unparalleled.
He was one of the few MPs who had a self-funded, fully functional constituency office where all the developmental issues of Nkulumane were coordinated. In 2011, I had an opportunity to attend some of his constituency programs, one of it was coded ‘I love Nkulumane’. There are very few MPs across political divide who conduct feedback meetings in their constituency, but for Nduna it was a tradition to have at least one every month. As an MP who was deployed from the youth, he made the Youth Assembly proud of his leadership tactics at constituency level.
Nduna was a member of the Youth Assembly National Executive and vice Chairperson to Nelson ‘Wamba’ Chamisa during the period 2000 to 2005. At the party’s 2nd Congress in 2006 he took over the reins as the National Youth Chairperson. He worked with people like Hon Amos Chibaya as his deputy, rebel Solo Madzore as Secretary, Mandi Matutu as deputy secretary, cde Dropa as Treasurer, lord Soms- Somerai as Organising Secretary, late Simangaliso Phineas Chikadaya baba Ground as deputy Organiser, cde Marange as Information Secretary, Melissa Mabeza as deputy Information, Tonderai Serge Ndira as Secretary for Security, Gladys Hlatywayo as International Relations Secretary, Godfrey Costa aka Black Jesus as Youth Coordinator who then handed over to young Desmond Ncube among others.
At our 4th National Congress, we elected him as our deputy National Organising Secretary. He was a true and obedient deployee of the MDC Youth Assembly. He genuinely represented the interests and aspirations of the young people at all levels. His voice was a voice of reason, always standing for the truth no matter what? When he stands or speaks for something, he did that powerfully with passion. Nduna was a trusted man especially when he took a position, he did that to the fullest without doubt and compromise.
Your dreams for a New Zimbabwe will be achieved soonest with President Tsvangirai at the driving seat. Nkulumane will remain MDC for life.

Mugabe reads wrong speech

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe today stunned the nation when he read a wrong speech during the official opening of the Third Session of the Eighth Parliament.

Mugabe instead read the same speech which he delivered during the State of the Nation Address that he presented before Parliament about three weeks ago.

Presidential spokesperson George Charamba appeared to have alerted Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa about the mistake, but no action was taken to avoid embarrassing the 91 year old leader.

Therefore the MDC-T and its Leader, Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai, remain the only trusted people in Zimbabwe and everyone is looking forward to Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai taking over as the president of this country because his leadership will bring back Zimbabweans their pride and joy which has been lost in the ZANU PF mafia era.

The MDC-T envisages developing and modernising the country’s infrastructure, in areas such as energy, roads, rails and ICT. The MDC – T focus will also ensure rural development in the dual economic system of Zimbabwe, where we have both the urban and rural economy. A friendly business environment conducive to both domestic and foreign direct investment and capital formation will be established to ensure good quality social and economic services in the country, pursuant to the MDC-T and Dr Morgan Tsvangirai’s imperative of putting people first.

With the absolute failure of ZIMASSET, which is a plain lie from ZANU PF, many people are now in serious poverty, worse off than even before. The MDC –T had managed to stablise and recover the economy in the GNU era and remained the only party with capacity to recover the economy. The answer now to the Zimbabwean economy is; Jobs

Investment
Capital
Environment,
which programme answers all the challenges in the Zimbabwean economy. The MDC –T intends to facilitate equal and effective participation of all Zimbabweans, including women and the youth and to correct the errors of patronage and partisan looting of the economy by the mafia ZANU PF.

It is the humility of the leadership, under the stewardship of Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai that this country has not been plunged into civil war and rebellion. The MDC-T has pursued a peaceful mass-line of politics and not a mafia style, despite commanding absolute majority support from the people of Zimbabwe. The MDC –T has resisted the temptation to be emotional and bring anarchy to this country. We have remained programme and people oriented and not power position oriented and this has made the majority of Zimbabweans to trust the MDC-T and its President, over every other politician in the country.

Our party is governed under the principle of democracy, which principle is the one the party wishes to impact to the nation. This is a value where tolerance, openness and decision making must come from the people not that decisions being directed to the people by senior politicians.

Our President, Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai has demonstrated a consistent vision of bringing a new governance culture in Zimbabwe, nation building, and bringing prosperity and social equity in our country. He has remained disciplined in the commitment, conviction and courage to bring a peaceful, prosperous, and democratic Zimbabwe, under the values of transparency, accountability, equality, service and sacrifice, and the rule of law and justice.

Has anything of economic substance ever materialised from any of Mugabe's trips abroad over the last 35 years?

The fact that he has bankrupted the Nation, and reduced the country to the second poorest in the world with the highest unemployment and lowest life expectancy speaks volumes, and tells Zimbabweans he has done absolutely NOTHING positive for them - although it has not stopped him amassing the eight largest personal fortune in all of Africa, and using Zimbabwe's National Airline as his own private jet .
