What a fantabulous meeting we had yesterday! We listened to amazing prepared speeches from 4 toastmasters, interesting Impromptu speeches and cherry on top - we celebrated our 6th anniversary!
Once a month we collaborate with Diplomatic Corps Toastmasters Club and have one big meeting to give our stakeholders a glimpse of limitless Toastmasters benefits! Watch this space for more updates!

30 June 2020 marked the end of the legacy education program in Toastmasters International. PRESENTATION TIP: Use humor when things go wrong. You can tell a quick joke to help put your audience at ease. For example, if the lights go out, a good joke might be: “Who forgot to pay the electric bill?”

- A story of Determination!

For Toastmaster Regai, the journey started in 2014. It was bumpy, which forced her to take a break along the way until she decided to come back in 2019! Our Public Relations Executive caught up with Toastmaster Regai after attaining her Competent Communicator Award in the Toastmasters Education Program. Below are excerpts from the interview;

Waterfront PR: What were some of the challenges you faced along the way?

Toastmaster Regai: I had a lot of pressure due to juggling many responsibilities - work, family, social etc.

Waterfront PR: What made you come back?

Toastmaster Regai: I noticed a gap in my communication especially in listening, speaking and leadership both at home and work. Also, once a Toastmaster always one!!

The Story of Two Giants....
Saturday 24th August was a special day for both Waterfront and Deloitte. Toastmasters Clubs as it marked the beginning of a new journey and powerful partnership that will see members moving with speed in their Toastmasters educational programs. The clubs had their first combined meeting and these shall be held one Saturday of every month (09:00 - 11:00). In Toastmasters, the most important person is the member, hence the initiative to help members who were struggling with attending evening meetings.

Saturday 6th of July was a special day. It was lit at LightCon. We had an amazing time as Club Officers and members who attended. We learnt so much and are ready to take on the challenge. Toastmasters International is THE place where Leaders are made. Twice a year the Club Officers get trained so they can hone their skills and of course serve the Member who is THE MOST IMPORTANT ASSET!
