Today, Our Hon. Deputy Minister, Cde K. Mupamhanga was the guest of honour at Ruwa Vocational Training Centre during the International Youth Commemorations.

The three-day commemorations, held from 12–14 August 2026, were anchored on the theme: “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations: Empowering Young People to Learn, Innovate and Lead.” Throughout the event, young innovators participated in the Innovation Challenge Boot Camp.

In his remarks, Deputy Minister Mupamhanga urged young people to harness their creativity, skills, and innovative ideas to contribute to national economic development. He noted that the world is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by artificial intelligence, digital technology, and automation, which are changing the nature of work—creating both opportunities and challenges for young people.

Hon. T. Machakaire was the Guest of Honour at the CAMFED - Campaign for Female Education Enterprise Development Fund launch today in Harare. The US$2.2 million initiative is aimed at unlocking entrepreneurial opportunities for young women across Zimbabwe.

The Hon. Minister commended the partnership between the Ministry and CAMFED - Campaign for Female EducationZimbabwe and encouraged young women to believe in their potential, work diligently, and seize the opportunities available.

325 young people graduated at Chaminuka Vocational Training Centre in Mt Darwin, equipped with practical, in-demand skills through Young Africa’s Skills2Live Mobile Training Programme. Hon. Deputy Minister K. Mupamhanga was the Guest of Honour.

In his speech, the Hon. Deputy Minister said: “Today is more than conferring certificates. We mark the moment at which young people step forward, skilled, confident and ready to build this nation.”

Hon. T. Machakaire was the Guest of Honour at the World Population Day Commemorations and the UNFPA-hosted launch of the Demographic Futures Survey. The event brought together Government, UN agencies, development partners, the diplomatic community, civil society, the private sector and most importantly young people, to reflect on how population matters are linked to dignity, opportunity and long-term national development.
Hon. Machakaire emphasised that Zimbabwe’s youthful population is a national asset that must be developed through quality education, health and skills development.
