We are deeply honored to feature the extraordinary story and artistry of Manners Mukuwiri. Navigating life using a wheelchair since contracting polio at age three in Hwedza, Zimbabwe, Manners never allowed physical challenges to limit his creative vision.

His artistic journey began when he started crafting vibrant animal sculptures from wire and recycled aluminum cans. Today, operating from the Chitungwiza Arts Centre, Manners has earned international recognition while creating local jobs and using his success to advocate for people with disabilities across Africa, and was even featured by the BBC News.

Alongside his celebrated recycled metal creations, Manners also works in stone, carving heartwarming Shona sculptures that highlight African family bonds, unity, and strength.
