This year, UDCORP proudly celebrated Africa Day by embracing the beauty, diversity, and unity of our continent. Employees were grouped according to the five regions East Africa (Ethiopia), West Africa (Ghana), Central Africa (The Democratic Republic of Congo), and Southern Africa (Botswana) and dressed in vibrant attire that reflected the traditions, colours, and spirit of each region.
The celebration was more than just a showcase of culture; it was a reminder of the strength we gain from our diversity and the pride we share in being African. The energy, creativity, and joy captured in these photos highlight how our differences unite us and inspire us to work together toward common goals.

From 25–29 May 2026, a Zimbabwean delegation led by the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities, together with UDCORP, undertook a five-day study tour to Botswana. This important visit was conducted under the Memorandum of Understanding Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities of Zimbabwe and the Ministry of Water and Human Settlement of Botswana which provides for cooperation in housing development, land administration, and institutional strengthening.
The delegation, comprising senior officials from both the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities and the Urban Development Corporation, engaged with Botswana’s Ministry of Water and Human Settlement to share experiences and best practices in affordable housing delivery and governance. The exchange provided valuable insights into innovative approaches to housing development, institutional capacity building, and sustainable land administration.
This benchmarking exercise is a key step in shaping Zimbabwe’s housing sector reforms. The knowledge gained will strengthen our ability to deliver inclusive, affordable, and sustainable housing solutions for communities across Zimbabwe.
Together, Zimbabwe and Botswana continue to build bridges of collaboration, exchange expertise, and reaffirm the importance of regional partnerships in addressing housing challenges.

"I want to be..."
For this year’s Career Day, we traded our corporate attire for our "dream" uniforms! We took a trip down memory lane. Our team came dressed as what they aspired to be when they were younger. From pilots and doctors to architects and lawyers, it’s amazing to see how those early dreams fuelled the passion we bring to urban development today.
While our childhood titles might have changed, the core mission remains building, solving, and leading. We are proud to be a team of dreamers who became doers, working together towards the achievement of Vision 2030.
