Our Story
Honey for Africa began as a hobby company in 2006 managing 30 Kenyan Topbar Hives in the mystic Matsororo Valley which lies beneath the rugged and beautiful Chimanimani Mountains in Zimbabwe. In 2008 we were overtaken by the potential of our beekeeping passions and transformed into a fully registered private company majoring in beekeeping, honey processing and hive products.
In 2013 we were blessed with our farm, our second apiary in the beautiful Bema Valley, up up in the misty mountains of Vumba, right by the Zimbabwe-Mozambique border. The views are majestic and the girls love it.
Our vision is to be Africa’s No. 1 apiary and table honey brand. Our 5-year Strategic Plan (2018-2023) is to be a 1500 hive apiary sustainably deriving value from bees, honey and hive products.
