I was honoured to represent Zimbabwe at the Regional Annual Sports Awards (RASA) in Luanda, Angola, where our nation celebrated remarkable achievements on the regional stage.

Congratulations to Zander Botha for being named Junior Sportsperson of the Year and to Simbarashe Mushayi for scooping the Sportsman with Disabilities award. Your success continues to inspire the nation and showcases Zimbabwe’s growing sporting excellence.

I was also privileged to receive a special recognition award on behalf of Dr Nicholas Munyonga, while Dr Eugenia Chidhakwa was equally honoured for her immense contribution to sport development.

These accolades are a proud moment for Zimbabwe and reaffirm our commitment to nurturing sporting talent and excellence.

Today, we celebrate the unmatched privilege which we shall forever cherish - it is to belong to this continent, and call it home.
Happy Africa Day to you all, and may we all focus our efforts towards the realisation of this continent's collective dream engraved in Agenda 2063, for 'The Africa We Want.'

A moment of Discovery!

My heartfelt gratitude goes to Discovery Ambulances for gracing the Hon. Emily Jesaya Sports Tournament with their presence. During the tournament, numbers were trained for free on first aid procedures.
They also conducted a home visit - all of which gestures, showed their spirit in support of healthy sports as a key priority for development.

This was my priceless moment of Discovery!

IN PICTURES| Highlights from the field and official events. Here are some key moments where teams had to exude confidence before the Guest of Honour and before kickoff. The Hon. Emily Jesaya Sports Tournament is the platform where everyone won, because even they that didn't clinch the Medals, definitely clinched the Message; that, 'Together in the Game, United in Development, Fighting Drug and Substance Abuse Towards Vision 2030' - is the real deal for progress.
