The development efforts in our District are now in full swing. The politics are now over and we should now support our top team in government - Hon Evelyn Ndlovu MInister in Vice President Chiwenga's Office, Hon Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu who is the Minister of Industry and Commerce.

We should also support our Members of parliament that cover our vast district Hon. Dimgumuzi Phuti and again Hon Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu.

To all all the councillors old and new we say hands on deck for spearheading local projects.

For Bulilima West Development and Dombodema in particular the recommended team is Councillor - Benjamin Nleya, Member of Parliament - Dingumuzi Phuti, Senator - Simon Khaya Moyo, President - ED Mnangagwa.

The people of and Districts are being disenfranchised politically by being not given a fair chance to register to vote . They are being asked to move at great cost to a central office in Plumtree that is not sign posted and hard to find. Some are 100km away.

Whilst acknowledging the developments around the Plumtree District Hospital refurbishment and expansion, it is important that we do not forget about our community clinics in the quest of improving the provision of Health Services in our respective communities. The Bulilima West Constituency has the following Rural Health Centres under the jurisdiction of the Bulilima Rural District Council;

1. Dombodema Health Centre
2. Hingwe Health Centre
3. Huwana Health Centre
4. Madlambudzi Health Centre
5. Makhulela Health Centre
6. Malalume Health Centre
7. Masendu Health Centre
8. Mbimba Health Centre
9. Nswazwi Health Centre
10. Tokwana Health Centre
11. Village 13 Health Centre

These facilities are under funded and stretched to the limits with huge catchment areas. As such we need to come up with a new thinking of how this crucial infrastructure is upgraded and managed. Suggestions / Dialogue are very welcome

The Ministry of Transport & Infrastructural Development has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) which covers 20 roads including the Plumtree - Maitengwe Border Post Road for Pre-Qualification of funding feasibility studies. The closing date is 8 April 2018 and the Reference is RDS/EOI/02/2018. The work is for the rehabilitation and upgrading of the road through a Build Operate Transfer (BOT) and or Loan Financing Arrangement.

Bakalanga, lets take the bull by the horn and make sure that this time we are fully monitoring and better still participating in this process if we have companies with capacity.
