Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo writes ✍

My fellow Honourable Members of Parliament from Karonga .

While it is both a constitutional right and a democratic duty for Members of Parliament to seek legal redress on matters affecting the people they represent in the August House, I respectfully submit that the issue surrounding the Presidential Executive Order directing the relocation of the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) offices from Lilongwe to Blantyre is not a matter of immediate concern to the people of Karonga Town Constituency and Karonga-Lufilya Constituency.

The pressing challenges facing our people are well known. These include the deteriorating condition of the M1 Road between Chiweta and Karonga, the inadequate state of Karonga District Hospital, the need for improved educational facilities, and the broader infrastructure deficits that continue to hinder economic and social development in our district.

Drawing from my parliamentary and political experience, I am concerned that pursuing this litigation may prove to be an exercise in futility and could create an unfortunate impression that our priorities are misplaced.

At a time when Karonga urgently requires meaningful Government intervention and investment in critical public services, our collective efforts should be focused on advocating for solutions to the real challenges confronting our constituents.

I therefore respectfully urge my fellow Honourable Members to channel their energies and influence towards issues that directly affect the welfare and livelihoods of the people of Karonga.
Our constituents expect us to champion their most pressing needs, and it is through such focused leadership that we can deliver tangible and lasting development to our district.

BREAKING NEWS!

MacFarlane Ngwirinji has spilled the beans in a one and half hour interview revealing details how MCP wanted to rig the 2025 elections including attempts to kill DPP lawyer, Bob Chimkango who was working on an election case to stop the use of Smartimatic machine!

Ngwirinji further says, the system they had set up to rig the election was hacked at around 3pm when voting was still in progress on 16 September last year, a move which confused the entire MCP!

In the interview, the computer wizard MacFarlane reveals that after it became clear that rigging had failed using their installed system in Dowa, MCP hired the services of some Nigerians who worked along with some Malawians to hack the MEC system right at the National Tally Centre. Ngwirinji says 7 billion kwacha was released for that operation!

What Ngwirinji says corresponds with testimonies from some party monitors who were at The National Tally Centre who reported some strange operations, activities and some strange people precisely from 18 to 21 September.

He further says that Chakwera was not ready to concede defeat because he was assured that the second rigging strategy would still work out with the last option being bombing the National Tally Centre

Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Decentralization Joseph Mwanamvekha says the National Economic Recovery Plan (NERP) 2025-2030 Consultative meeting taking place in Lilongwe will help his ministry to focus on practical strategies to restore macroeconomic stability and pave the way for long-term economic transformation.

Mwanamwekha told TWR that views from different stakeholders that are attending the meeting will aide in developing policies that stimulate growth and create sustainable job opportunities for the rapidly growing population.

The gathering will also examine the structural reforms necessary to unleash the private sector's full potential and make it the engine of growth that drives job creation and innovation.

Mwanamwekha further said that the recovery agenda recognizes the importance of restoring investor confidence, improving productivity, supporting exports, strengthening food security, and creating an enabling environment for private sector-led growth.

"As a Minister of Finance Economic Planning and Decentralization, I have the honour of leading this consultative meeting on the theme, “Resetting Malawi: Restoring people centred macro-economic growth and prosperity” This theme reflects our shared commitment to creating an economy that is resilient, inclusive, and built on sustainable growth." He said.
