A Farewell to a Beloved Brother, Well-Wisher and Dedicated Officer.
It is indeed difficult to say farewell to an outstanding officer who, over the years, became much more than an officer to me. He became like a younger brother, a trusted well-wisher and a cherished friend.
With a heavy heart, I bid farewell to Shri Abhimanyu ji
, whose tenure at the Consulate General of India, Dubai* has been marked by dedication, compassion and sincere service to the Indian community in the UAE.
For me personally, saying goodbye to Shri Abhimanyu ji is particularly emotional. He was never merely an officer whom we approached for official matters. He was someone who always listened with patience, understood the difficulties faced by our community members and extended his guidance whenever possible. His affection and encouragement towards Aim India Forum have always been deeply valued by me and our entire team.
During his three-year tenure at the Consulate General of India in Dubai, Shri Abhimanyu ji served in the Passport Department and later took on responsibilities as Vice Consul in the Labour Department. In both assignments, he demonstrated professionalism, accessibility and a genuine commitment to assisting Indian nationals.
His contribution to the welfare of blue-collar workers deserves special appreciation. Many workers who were distressed, stranded or facing difficult circumstances found guidance and support through the Labour Department. His approach was not simply administrative; it reflected a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by ordinary Indian workers living far away from their families.
For Aim India Forum,our association with Shri Abhimanyu ji and the Consulate team has been a meaningful journey of service. Together, we had the opportunity to participate in and organize several labour-awareness camps across the UAE, focusing on creating awareness among Indian workers about their rights, responsibilities, available consular services and the importance of seeking timely assistance in difficult situations.
These initiatives were not merely programmes or events. They were opportunities to reach our people directly, listen to their concerns and help connect them with the appropriate channels of support.
I firmly believe that community organizations can make a meaningful difference when they work with sincerity and in close coordination with our diplomatic missions. Our experience with Shri Abhimanyu ji and the Consulate General of India in Dubai has been a wonderful example of such cooperation. Aim India Forum is proud to have been associated with these efforts and grateful for the trust and encouragement extended to us.
What makes farewell difficult is not the end of an official tenure, but the realization that someone who became an important part of our journey will now be moving on to a new chapter.
Shri Abhimanyu ji, you may be leaving the Consulate General of India in Dubai, but you will certainly not be leaving the hearts of the people whose lives you touched.
Your humility, kindness, accessibility and dedication will remain memorable to all of us who had the privilege of working with you.

As a brother, I will miss your presence.
As a well-wisher, I will always cherish your guidance.

And as a friend, I sincerely hope that our bond will continue far beyond your tenure in Dubai.

May the next chapter of your journey bring you greater opportunities to serve, greater success in your career and happiness in your personal life.
