Thank You Note

The Institute for Albanian Municipalities extends its sincere appreciation to all participants who joined yesterday’s training in Lezhë, focused on textile reuse, social entrepreneurship, green local jobs, and the role of municipalities in the circular economy.

A special thanks goes to our local partner, Artizanati Zadrima Center, for the warm hospitality, commitment, and valuable contribution to the successful organization of this activity. We are particularly grateful to Ms. Teresa Gega for her dedication, positive energy, and important role in connecting local craftsmanship with community empowerment, women’s economic participation, sustainable tourism, and local development.

It was especially meaningful to hear participants express their appreciation to the Australian taxpayers, whose support, through the Australian Government – Direct Aid Program 2025–2026, made this cooperation possible and created space for dialogue, practical ideas, and future local initiatives.

This activity showed once again that the circular economy is not only an environmental concept. It is also a real opportunity for local employment, social entrepreneurship, women and youth empowerment, preservation of traditional craftsmanship, and stronger links with local tourism.

Thank you to everyone for your participation, contribution, and spirit of cooperation.

Falënderim

Instituti për Bashkitë e Shqipërisë shpreh falënderimet më të sinqerta për të gjithë pjesëmarrësit në trajnimin e zhvilluar dje në Lezhë, me fokus ripërdorimin e tekstileve, sipërmarrjen sociale, vendet e gjelbra të punës dhe rolin e bashkive në ekonominë qarkulluese.

Një falënderim i veçantë shkon për partnerin tonë lokal, Qendrën Artizanati Zadrima, për mikpritjen, angazhimin dhe kontributin e çmuar në realizimin e këtij aktiviteti. Në mënyrë të posaçme, vlerësimi ynë shkon për znj. Teresa Gega, për përkushtimin, energjinë pozitive dhe rolin e saj në lidhjen e traditës artizanale me zhvillimin lokal, fuqizimin e grave dhe turizmin e qëndrueshëm.

Ishte shumë domethënëse të dëgjonim nga vetë pjesëmarrësit mirënjohjen për taksapaguesit australianë, të cilët përmes mbështetjes së Australian Government – Direct Aid Program 2025–2026, mundësuan këtë bashkëpunim dhe krijuan hapësirë për dialog, ide praktike dhe nisma të reja në nivel vendor.

Ky aktivitet tregoi se ekonomia qarkulluese nuk është vetëm një koncept mjedisor, por një mundësi konkrete për punësim lokal, sipërmarrje sociale, fuqizim komunitar, ruajtje të trashëgimisë artizanale dhe zhvillim të turizmit lokal.

Faleminderit të gjithëve për pjesëmarrjen, kontributin dhe frymën bashkëpunuese.

“Ripërdorimi i tekstileve, sipërmarrja sociale dhe vendet e gjelbra të punës në nivel vendor-Roli i Bashkive”

Aktiviteti u organizua nga Instituti për Bashkitë e Shqipërisë, në bashkëpunim me Qendrën Artizan Zadrima, në kuadër të projektit “Beyond Business for the Circular Economy”, mbështetur nga Australian Government-Direct Aid Program 2025-2026.

Me pjesëmarrjen e përfaqësuesve të bashkisë, sipërmarrësve lokalë, grave artizane, të rinjve, studentëve dhe OJF-ve lokale, u diskutua mbi ekonominë qarkulluese, ripërdorimin e tekstileve, sipërmarrjen sociale dhe krijimin e vendeve të gjelbra të punës.

Një fokus i veçantë iu kushtua edhe lidhjes së këtyre nismave me turizmin lokal, ku produktet artizanale dhe tekstilet e ripërdorura mund të shndërrohen në vlerë të shtuar për identitetin, traditën dhe ofertën turistike të zonës së Zadrimës dhe Lezhës.

Sot, në Qendrën Artizan Zadrima në Lezhë, u zhvillua trajnimi:

Aktiviteti u organizua nga Instituti për Bashkitë e Shqipërisë, në bashkëpunim me Qendrën Artizan Zadrima, në kuadër të projektit “Beyond Business for the Circular Economy”, mbështetur nga Australian Government -Direct Aid Program 2025–2026.

Me pjesëmarrjen e përfaqësuesve të bashkisë, sipërmarrësve lokalë, grave artizane, të rinjve, studentëve dhe OJF-ve lokale, u diskutua mbi ekonominë qarkulluese, ripërdorimin e tekstileve, sipërmarrjen sociale dhe krijimin e vendeve të gjelbra të punës.

Today, at the Artizan Zadrima Center in Lezha, the training took place:

“Reuse of textiles, social entrepreneurship and green jobs at the local level – The Role of Municipalities”

The activity was organized by the Institute for Municipalities of Albania, in collaboration with the Artizan Zadrima Center, within the framework of the project “Beyond Business for the Circular Economy”, supported by the Australian Government – ​​Direct Aid Program 2025–2026.

With the participation of representatives of the municipality, local entrepreneurs, women artisans, young people, students and local NGOs, the circular economy, reuse of textiles, social entrepreneurship and the creation of green jobs were discussed.

A special focus was also given to the connection of these initiatives with local tourism, where handicraft products and reused textiles can be transformed into added value for the identity, tradition and tourist offer of the Zadrima and Lezha area.

The main message: textile waste can be turned into opportunities for employment, handicrafts, empowerment of women and youth, development of local tourism and green economy at the local level.
