🌍✨Flashback moment of the beginning of a journey! ✨🚀

From 28–30 November 2025, partners of the Erasmus+ project *ELEVATE – Empowering Youth and Increasing Youth Employability* gathered in Belgrade, Serbia 🇷🇸 for an inspiring and productive Kick-Off Meeting 🤝

For three days, organizations from different countries came together with one shared mission:
💡 to empower young people,
💼 improve youth employability,
🌱 promote inclusion,
and 🤝 create meaningful opportunities through non-formal education.

The meeting was filled with:
✅ inspiring discussions
✅ teamwork and new ideas
✅ planning future trainings & mobilities
✅ defining project goals and responsibilities
✅ strengthening international cooperation

One of the most beautiful parts of the meeting was the strong commitment shown by all partners. Even participants who could not travel because of visa delays joined online from Kenya 🇰🇪 and Uganda 🇺🇬, proving that collaboration has no borders 🌐💻

Together, we built not only project plans and strategies, but also trust, motivation, and a shared vision for the future of young people ✨

This is only the beginning of the ELEVATE journey, and we are excited for everything that is ahead! 🚀🌍

As part of the Inclusive Play project, we organised inception meetings with educators, trainers, coaches, and parents to better understand the real experiences of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in grassroots sport. ⚽🏀🤝

These valuable discussions, together with our project surveys, contributed to the development of the Inception Meetings Report (D2.1), helping us identify the most common barriers to meaningful participation across six European countries. 🌍

The report highlights that many challenges are not related to behaviour, but to the way activities and environments are designed. Key difficulties identified include:

✔ Attention and concentration challenges during activities
✔ Difficulties understanding and following instructions
✔ Emotional frustration, anxiety, or withdrawal when tasks become overwhelming
✔ Barriers in group interaction, cooperation, and social inclusion
✔ Motor coordination and sensory challenges, such as noise sensitivity or overstimulation

One important insight from the report is that these challenges are deeply connected. For example, when a child struggles to understand instructions, it can lead to frustration, reduced confidence, and social withdrawal.

👉 The findings show that while access to sport is improving, true inclusion requires more than participation alone. It requires thoughtful planning, adapted coaching methods, and supportive environments where every child can feel safe, engaged, and empowered.

Because meaningful inclusion always starts with listening. 💙

💡 Small changes. Big impact.

Sport has the power to bring people together, build confidence, improve well-being, and create a strong sense of belonging. Yet, many young people with SEND still face barriers that limit their participation. Through Inclusive Play, we are working to change that by helping coaches, trainers, and sports organisations create environments where every young person feels welcomed, supported, and valued. 💙

Inclusive sport doesn’t always require expensive equipment or completely new systems. Often, the most meaningful changes are the simplest ones:

✔ Giving clear and easy-to-follow instructions
✔ Allowing more time to complete activities
✔ Encouraging participation, teamwork, and confidence; not perfection 🏆
✔ Adapting activities to different ability levels
✔ Creating safe and supportive spaces where everyone can take part 🤝
✔ Recognising that every young person learns and progresses differently

These small adjustments can have a life-changing impact. They help young people develop social skills, self-esteem, independence, and positive connections through sport and physical activity. 🌟

👉 Through Inclusive Play, we aim to provide practical tools, guidance, and real-life strategies that make inclusion achievable for coaches and educators. Because inclusion should feel possible and empowering, not overwhelming.

Together, we can build a future where sport truly becomes a space for everyone, regardless of ability. 🙌

🌍 Introducing the Inclusive Play Website, Inclusivity Training for Educators, Coaches, and Trainers in Sports

What if every child, no matter their abilities, felt truly included in the field? 🤝

That’s exactly why Inclusive Play was created. This transnational Erasmus+ project addresses a real challenge: while sport has the power to shape confidence, teamwork, and well-being, many children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are still left on the sidelines, not because they can’t participate, but because inclusive training is often lacking.

💭 Imagine this:
A coach who knows how to adapt activities.
A PE teacher who feels confident supporting every student.
A sports club where every child belongs*

🔎 Our Mission
We’re here to bridge the knowledge gap in inclusive sports by empowering educators, coaches, and trainers with the skills and confidence they need to create supportive, adaptive environments for all children.

📚 What We Offer
✔️ A comprehensive Training Manual
✔️ A structured Training Programme
✔️ Practical, ready-to-use tools
✔️ 100% free and open-access resources for schools and sports clubs across Europe

👥 Who is it for?
Whether you’re a:
• Sports coach
• PE teacher
• Youth trainer
• Sports organisation
• Educational institution

Human Rights and Equality: For Everyone, Everywhere 🌍

Our rights are the inalienable values that define us, regardless of geography, identity, or status. From education and freedom of expression to safety and the right to work, every single right is a building block of a more just society.

Equality is more than just a concept; it is a force that eliminates discrimination and barriers, uniting society. A world where every individual has fair access to resources and opportunities means a safer and stronger future for us all.

Let’s remember: human rights are indivisible, interrelated, and for everyone. ✨

✨ It’s a wrap… but let’s rewind to EmLead LTTA Day 1 & 2 in Vienna 🇦🇹

Before we share the full LTTA experience in Vienna, we want to take you back to how it all started. We, from the Austrian Association of Inclusive Society, had the honour to host this LTTA in Vienna with the support of Creative Station (Serbia) as co-host

Day 1 was all about meeting, connecting, and getting comfortable 🤝
New faces, different backgrounds, but the same energy. We kicked things off by getting to know the EMLEAD project and, honestly, each other too.
The empathy mapping sessions were a real eye-opener, taking a moment to reflect on our own feelings, perspectives, and how we understand others. It wasn’t just theory because it felt real. 💭

And then… stepping into a role-play at the European Parliament 🇪🇺
Let’s just say, things got interesting! Debating, making decisions, and seeing different perspectives. It definitely brought out a new side of everyone 😄

Day 2 went a bit deeper 🌱
We started asking ourselves: what does it actually mean to lead with empathy?
Through small group work, role plays, and honest conversations, we explored how the little things, like how we listen, how we respond, can really shape the way we work with young people. 🗣️

There were also so many moments of sharing experiences, challenges, even doubts, and that’s what made it special. It didn’t feel like a “training”, it felt like learning together. 💬

We wrapped up the day feeling inspired (and a little bit tired 😅), especially after hearing from Social Impact Award alumni who reminded us why this work really matters. 🌍

These first two days?
A mix of learning, laughter, and real connection 💙

👉 Next post, we’ll take you through Day 3–5… and trust us, you don’t want to miss it. Because more interesting activities are coming!

While Austria is a global leader in education quality and accessibility, there is still another side to the story. Research shows that significant "achievement gaps" persist, particularly among students with migrant backgrounds.

🔍 Why Does This Matter?
High access to education alone is not enough. True success is only possible through an inclusive system where every individual can reach their full potential, regardless of their background or origin.

💡 As a company, we advocate for policies focused on inclusion that aim to bridge these gaps. We believe that a more equitable education system is the foundation of a stronger, more vibrant future for everyone.
