James Austin's Cottage is fast becoming a special "rest and refresh" spot for dogs out on their walk. I have about 5 regulars who now know that the cottage is a friendly place with fresh water, treats and comfy chairs. Recently I had 7 doggy visitors! Here are photos of some of them. Dogs at James Austins Cottage. Yesterday was a very memorable day with a visit from my usual little friend Sunny but then a crowd of Miniature Dachshunds arrived and totally took over. Beautiful shiny coats, friendly personalities and inquisitive. What a treat!
I love welcoming dogs to the cottage so come down for a walk in the park and a cottage visit. I have water, treats and toys.

I am a caretaker at James Austin's Cottage in Austins Ferry and my favourite visitors to the cottage are a number of dogs (no offence to the human visitors!). I do have a very special favourite visitor who comes almost every Sunday. His name is Sunny and as soon as he sees the "open" flag outside he bolts! He runs in so fast that he skids on the floor and crashes into the furniture. He goes straight to the treats jar but lately has become obsessed with the toys I have for him. A beautiful, enthusiastic, loving and affectionate little dog.
