Leah Mclintoch is our local mobile Optometrist through the Federal Government's Visiting Optometrist Scheme (VOS).

How long is it since you had your eyes tested? Most healthy adults and school-aged children should have an eye test at least every two years. However, people over 65, young children, and those with underlying health or vision conditions require more frequent check-ups.

Leah and Fiona visit Beaconsfield District Health Service have been visiting every month and eye tests are FREE. Leah can also give you a form for the Tasmanian Spectacle Assistance Scheme which covers glasses and lenses for low income residents.

Leah's next appointment day is 17th June and you can book an appointment with her on 0494 023 462

This video was made recently by some wonderful friends of Beaconsfield House. Local actors and actresses were well looked after with a lovely morning tea!

Our volunteers bring so much heart, energy and connection, it was impossible to capture it all in one video.
Here are some behind the scenes moments that didn’t make the final cut but still tell an important part of the story and how much fun we have at Beaconsfield House. Give us a call on 6383 1110 if you are interested in volunteering with us.
