🏉 Who will be our 2027 Sportsperson or Sports Team of the Year?

In 2026, the Berrigan Football Club Fourths Team was recognised after an incredible season built on teamwork, resilience and community spirit.

After starting the year unsure whether they would even have enough players to field a team, the Fourths went on to achieve something special — defeating an undefeated Picola side to claim the 2025 Premiership. More importantly, they showed what can happen when players, families, volunteers and a community rally together.

We’re looking for nominations for our 2027 Sportsperson or Sports Team of the Year.

Know a local athlete or team whose achievements, dedication or sportsmanship deserve to be celebrated?
Nominate them today!

📅 Nominations close 5pm, 31 October 2026.

TOCUMWAL LIBRARY RENOVATIONS – ALMOST THERE!

The Tocumwal Library renovations are nearing completion.
As part of the works, the library entrance has been relocated around the corner to the CWA Park side of the building, providing improved accessibility for people using mobility aids, wheelchairs and prams.

📍 Temporary signage will be installed to help guide visitors to the relocated entrance once the change takes place. A bench seat will also be installed next week in front of the former entrance to help reinforce the new access arrangements. Permanent signage will be added to the front façade and under the verandah as part of the final works.

🚻 The existing external library toilets have now been demolished as part of the renovations, however there is still an accessible toilet facility within the library.
To improve accessibility and community services, two new accessible public toilets will be installed adjacent to the accessible playground. These facilities will provide improved access for residents and visitors of all abilities, with construction due to commence shortly.

We thank the community for its patience and understanding while these important improvements are completed.
