New Process for Financial Assistance and Donations

Central Tablelands Water (Council) is introducing a new and improved application process for community organisations seeking financial assistance, donations, or applicable fee reductions from the 2026/27 financial year.

For the first time, all groups and organisations will be required to complete a Financial Assistance and Donations Application Form to be considered for support.

This new approach strengthens Council’s commitment to fairness, transparency and consistency, ensuring that funding is directed to initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for the community.

Council is encouraging all groups intending to apply for support in the 2026/27 financial year to review our Financial Assistance and Donations Policy and complete the application form by 15 June 2026.

HOW TO APPLY

The Financial Assistance and Donations policy and application form are available:

- Via Council’s website https://www.ctw.nsw.gov.au/
- By contacting Council directly [email protected], or
- At Council’s administration office, 30 Church Street Blayney.
Completed applications must be submitted no later than 15 June 2026 to be considered.

Celebrating Sir David Attenborough 100th birthday .

The earth has changed dramatically since Sir David Attenborough was born.

His Documentaries gave generations of children inspiration and an insight into our planet that no other human has done.

He's inspired generations of young people to look at and study the protection of our planet and become scientists and more to fight climate change

From an early age, the hidden remains of Earth's ancient life fascinated the young Sir David Attenborough.

One of his early fossil discoveries was a 200-million-year-old ammonite found while out on a bike ride near his boyhood home in Leicester, England.

It was a find he never forgot, and has regularly relived since.

As Sir David celebrates his 100th birthday this week, we retrace the steps of his formative experiences roaming the British countryside.

UPDATE:
If you are interested in viewing the Leak Detection dogs in Blayney, we will be at Price Lane from 10.30am on 11 May

We’re partnering with Central NSW Joint Organisation (C4NSWJO) to deliver an innovative leak detection program across Blayney’s residential areas.

Using specially trained detection dogs, this program can locate hidden leaks in underground pipelines, even those not visible at the surface, by detecting traces of chlorine or fluoride in drinking water.

Each day, the team can cover up to 10 km of pipeline
Detect leaks as deep as 1.5 metres below ground

This proactive approach will help us improve water efficiency and strengthen long-term water security for our community.

We’re also planning a live demonstration for interested community members and local schools. Details will be shared once confirmed.

We appreciate your support as we carry out this important work.
