RALLY OF THE HEARTLANDS IS UNDERWAY ACROSS THE GOYDER REGION
The Shannon’s Rally SA- Rally of the Heartlands is officially underway tomorrow bringing competitors, crews and motorsport fans into towns across the Goyder region right through to Sunday.
The rally will deliver strong benefits for the local community with visitors staying locally, dining in our eateries, shopping in our towns and supporting schools and community groups through local events.
In 2025, the event brought over 2,600 visitors to the region yielding an estimated $2.181 million in visitor expenditure associated with the event (RDA Yorke and Mid North 2025 Heartland Rally Economic Analysis).
Welcoming the event Mayor Bill Gebhardt said:
“ We are once again delighted to welcome Rally SA, the drivers, their crews and families to the Goyder region. Events like this bring real and meaningful benefits to our local economy which support businesses and community groups across the whole region while showcasing Goyder to visitors from across Australia and beyond.”
Beyond the on ground economic boost, the rally is once again putting Goyder in the spotlight nationally and internationally, sharing images and stories to tens of thousands of motor sport fans.
