🐟 Pancho is coming to Arno Bay! 🐟

We’re excited to welcome this incredible new sculpture by Cleve farmer Peter “Turtle” Crosby to Arno Bay!

Council will be placing Pancho near the Arno Bay Jetty, where we hope he’ll become a much-loved feature for locals and visitors to enjoy. 🌊🐟

Thank you to Peter for creating another amazing sculpture and adding a unique piece of Eyre Peninsula character to Arno Bay.

Cleve farmer Peter “Turtle” Crosby has added another sculpture to his name with this big snapper heading to Arno Bay.

The big fish is made up of bits and pieces found on farms, in sheds, at clearing sales and even the odd golf club or two.

Mr Crosby has also made Clydesdale horses, emus, kangaroos and an eagle, all which sit proudly around the Eyre Peninsula.

The snapper has been named “Pancho” after a former professional fisherman from Arno Bay.

Next on his list?

“I would love to do a kelpie dog,” he said.

📢 Community Grants Program Now Open

Applications are now open for Council’s 2026 Community Grants Program, with funding of up to $10,000 available for eligible community projects.
Community groups and organisations operating within the District Council of Cleve are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to projects that provide broad community benefit, align with Council’s Strategic Plan, demonstrate strong community support and deliver lasting value.

🚗🎉 THE VARIETY BASH IS HERE THIS AFTERNOON - FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST! 🎉🚗

The Bash will make its way through Arno Bay earlier in the day, before arriving in Cleve for a community event on Fourth Street from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Come down, check out the incredible Bash cars, meet the crews and help us give them a huge Cleve welcome! 🚙🎈👏

After an overnight stay in Cleve, the Bash crews will hit the road again on Saturday morning as they continue their journey towards Port Pirie.

🚗🎉 THE VARIETY BASH IS ALMOST HERE! 🎉🚗

The 2026 SA Variety Bash - Pivot to Pirie is making its way across South Australia, and this Friday, 14 August, the colourful convoy will roll into the Cleve District! 🌾🙌

Travelling more than 2,300km, the Bash brings together more than 100 creatively themed vehicles and hundreds of participants, all helping to raise funds and support South Australian children in need.

The Bash will make its way through Arno Bay earlier in the day, before arriving in Cleve for a community event on Fourth Street from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
