📅 What’s On at CHSC – Term 2, Week 9

Week 9 has arrived and while the end of term is fast approaching, there is no slowing down across the college. From assessment tasks and court visits to the Mid North Coast Dance Festival, our students continue to embrace every opportunity to learn, perform and achieve.

This week also sees our Year 11 Parent & Carer Teacher Interviews, providing an important opportunity for families and teachers to connect and discuss student progress. We wish all students the very best with upcoming assessment tasks and thank our staff, families and community partners for their continued support.

It may be a busy week, but it’s another great example of the diverse experiences and opportunities available at CHSC. 💜💙

💜💙 WORK PLACEMENT IN ACTION: Part 2💙💜

While one team (Ben & Leo) were supporting the Schools Days of the Coffs Harbour Dance Eisteddfod last week, our second HSC VET Entertainment Industry work placement team, J & Eleanor, were hard at work on campus over the long weekend as part of the Coffs Harbour Dance Groups Eisteddfod.

Across three busy days, they assisted behind the scenes as thousands of performers, teachers, families and audience members came through our campus. From supporting event operations to helping ensure everything ran smoothly, they demonstrated professionalism, reliability and a positive attitude throughout the weekend.

Work placement provides valuable real-world industry experience, and we are incredibly proud of the way J & Eleanor represented Coffs Harbour Senior College.

Well done on a huge weekend and thank you for your outstanding contribution! 👏🎭🎶

7 years since our D Theatre Lighting Upgrade! Our students have continued to develop their lighting design and operation skills thanks to our fantastic large theatre space, and it's led to many of them working in the industry after school. There are so many familiar faces of our alumni in these photos.

It's Day 3 of the Push Up Challenge and we have 38 students and staff completing the 3,307 push ups over the next 23 days, helping raise awareness about mental health and su***de. We are fundraising for headspace Coffs Harbour, to help provide vital mental health services to support young people in our region.

It’s Work Placement season on campus for all our VET students. Ben & Leo are at Wiigulga Complex for the Schools Days of the Coffs Harbour Dance Eisteddfod as part of their VET Entertainment Industry hours. These gentlemen have represented our school with professionalism throughout the past two days. Well done Ben & Leo!

Year 11 and 12 dancers performed at the Coffs Harbour District Eisteddfod today, and they performed fabulously!

Year 12 ‘Statues’ received 2nd place 🥈
Year 11 Dance received 3rd place 🥉

It was wonderful to see so many dancers from across our region representing their schools and highlighting what an incredible subject Dance is for our students.
