The weather’s warming up, the paddocks are drying out and you’ve all started eyeing off that pile that’s been sitting there for the last 6 months… 😂

Just a friendly heads-up that the bush fire danger period has started for 2026 as of today the 1st of September! fire permits are now required!

So before you chuck a match on that burn pile, make sure you’ve got your permit sorted and know the conditions. We’d much rather see you doing the right thing than have to come knocking because your “little burn” decided to go on a country tour! 🚒😂

If you’re not sure whether you need a permit, or just want to check the rules, please feel free to contact us.

The Nana Glen Hall has some more fun, free and low-cost community events coming up over the next few months, as well as a huge community raffle starting soon!

Good evening all. The 2026/27Bushfire Danger Period for the Coffs Coast district (Coffs Harbour & Bellingen LGAs) starts as of 00:00 September 1st.

🚒 RFS had made the process simpler for landholders, with online permit applications .
🚒This permit portal simplifies the process, enabling you to register for an account where you can view, track and manage the permit process online in a single space.
🚒Your application will be sent out to your friendly neighbourhood permit officer with all the relevant information, and they will get in contact with you.
🚒 When a TOBAN is declared, affected permits will be automatically suspended and permit holders notified.
🚒If you do not wish to use the online system that is completely fine, you can obtain permit officers contact details by calling the Coffs Coast Fire Control Centre during business hours on (02) 6659 7800
