The Cummins School Community Library has an extensive, educational and recreational range of resources and services available for school and community patrons. Our resources include:
Adult Fiction books, with a diverse range of genres:
Large and extensive collection of Non-Fiction. Large Print books,
Young Adult fiction,
Junior fiction,
Graphic novels,

Picture fiction,
Board books. Audio books for all ages
Literacy packs for pre-schoolers

The Cummins School Community Library also has a wide range of popular magazines, plus an excellent collection of online magazines, audio and ebooks on library apps Libby and BorrowBox. Local History photographic collection and information is available for patrons. At the Cummins School Community Library, we offer a vast array of services to our patrons:
One card system: Any patron with a membership to the Onecard
system is welcome to borrow, return and place holds at our Library. Book Delivery Service: for customers unable to access the library. Colour photocopying, scanning, laminating
Coffin Bay Library Depot - pop in to grab some holiday reading. Digital Assist: by appointment, Thursday after 2.00pm. Baby Bounce and Nature Play: from 9.30am on Fridays of school term, songs and rhymes, followed by activities
and free play in our developing, natural garden. School Holiday activities
Pre-school STEM programs: Maths Fun for Under 5s, Little Bang Discovery Club. Contact us for further information.

We are pleased to advise that our staff member - Amanda, is now a registered Justice of the Peace. This service is available for anyone in our community to access during the library business hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm.

To make an appointment, please phone 8676 2476, as availability with days and times will vary.

✨ Creating Connections – Bingo Afternoon Recap! ✨

What a wonderful afternoon we had last week at Cummins Library’s Creating Connections Bingo event! 🥳 Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun - your laughter and friendly competition created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our library.

A special thank you to Ally from Our Town Cummins for her enthusiasm and support in helping us run such an entertaining afternoon.

Congratulations to all our Bingo winners - and to everyone for taking part and making it such an enjoyable time. We loved seeing so many smiling faces and look forward to even more community connection in the future.

The countdown to Book Week is officially on! 📚🌟🥳

There are so many wonderful books on this year’s shortlist, and our students have been thoroughly enjoying sharing and exploring these stories together in class.

Some crowd favourites so far include:

🥦 Dear Broccoli by Jo Dabrowski – This hilarious tale has had everyone laughing as Frank tries to figure out how broccoli keeps mysteriously appearing on his plate night after night!

🐟 Derek by Anne Donaldson – We’ve loved joining Derek, a curious little fish, on his quest to discover answers to life’s big questions.

👩‍🌾 A Farm by the Sea by Jillian Packer – This beautifully illustrated story takes us to a unique farm on the Port Lincoln coast and has charmed readers of all ages.

We can’t wait to see which stories become new favourites as we celebrate Book Week together!

What a wonderful morning we had at Baby Bounce, Read & Grow last Friday! We sang so many delightful songs together - hopping, shaking, stomping, and clapping our way through the session. We finished with the lovely story, “Once Upon My Legs" by Mike Dumbleton.

Afterwards, we set up an exciting obstacle course, weaving through the shelves of the library for everyone to enjoy! It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces and energetic little ones exploring, moving, and learning together.
