As part of National Reconciliation Week, our Cummins Area School Year 12 students have shared their learning and creativity through powerful displays in the library. Their work explores the importance of truth-telling, reconciliation, and honouring First Nations cultures.

We invite everyone to pop into the Cummins School Community Library to view these inspiring projects, reflect on the messages, and discover a range of books supporting understanding and reconciliation.

Thank you to our students for leading the way as voices for change!

Creating Connections – Event Wrap Up 📜🪗🎶

We are delighted to report that both our recent “Creating Connections” events at Cummins Library in partnership with the Lower Eyre Council were outstanding successes, with excellent attendance and glowing feedback from all involved.

April 2026 – History Collection

Our first event held in April was a nostalgic journey through local history. Led by Jeannie May, the session featured a fascinating display of local history images that sparked many memories and conversations among attendees. The engaging presentation was greatly appreciated, with participants commenting on how meaningful it was to recollect and share stories from the area’s rich past.

May 2026 - Music on the Big Screen

In May, our “Music on the Big Screen” afternoon brought residents together to enjoy and reminisce over much-loved songs from years gone by. The atmosphere was lively and joyful as locals from the Lower Eyre Peninsula gathered to celebrate music and community. The afternoon tea was a highlight, providing an opportunity for everyone to connect and socialise in a friendly setting.

Both events provided valuable opportunities for our community to come together, share experiences, and deepen connections. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making these gatherings so special.

We look forward to welcoming you at our future events. Get in touch with us on 8676 2997 to find out more information, or subscribe to our newsletter by sending us an email - [email protected]
