Well that's a wrap for Children's Book Week® 2026.
Here we are with our friend Acaysha who loves a dress up as much as we do! What a great way to share the love of reading and books with our library members.
We even had children visit after school to see who we were dressed as.
It was a great week starting with class talks with our amazing friend, Dianne Wolfer. We have had such a positive response to Dianne's visit to the Denmark Primary School.
We had fun visits from all the Primary Schools, kindy visits to give out the new Better Beginnings boxes, and special a Rhymetime and Red Riding Hood Storytime.
Thanks everyone for making Children's Book Week® so special.

We are really getting into the spirit of Children's Book Week.
Here we have Dogman who has befriended Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie.
Our Twinkly Star and Old MacDonald with our beautiful friend and library helper Acaysha as Christine from Phantom of the Opera.
Goldilocks has eaten her porridge and Little Miss Muffet is eating her curds and whey.
So much fun to be had for Book Week!
We love showing our passion for books and literature and our children at Rhymetime, library class visits and kindy visits are just the start of a big and busy Book Week.

It is Book Week! 📚 Our favourite time of the year.
This year’s theme, "Symphony of Stories", celebrates the diverse voices, characters and stories that come together through literature.

It has been an awesome start to Children's Book Week®, with a special visit from popular author Dianne Wolfer.
Students from Denmark Primary School were fortunate to hear about Dianne's writing journey and inspiration for many of her books.
Dianne spoke about her diverse range of genres, characters, and themes and gave simple tricks and tips for putting ideas on a page.
One idea was to simply take a walk in nature or along the beach and let your ideas come to you, making sure you jot them down, as soon as you can.
I am sure the students gained a lot from Dianne who gave so generously of her time on Monday.
Dianne also showcased some of the amazing images from the Behind the Pages exhibition, not to be missed.

The Seed Library is restocked and ready for that 'it's feeling a little like Spring' enthusiasm! We have seeds for vegetables, flowers and herbs, come in and see what takes your fancy.

And remember that we take donations of dried seed from local gardens, labelled with the variety and year of collection - then we can repackage and recirculate the seeds in our local community and share the love!
