It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a much-loved member of our community.

Elaine was a devoted mum to two young children and a cherished friend to many in our local area. Our brigade knew her well, and we also stand alongside one of our own members who is part of her family. Like so many in our community, we are deeply saddened by this loss.

Our thoughts are with her husband, children, family, and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

We also acknowledge that another person was seriously injured in another incident that is linked, and our thoughts are with them and their loved ones as they recover.

Hello everyone! It’s been a busy few months for our brigade, with a variety of callouts across the state. We’ve attended a wide range of incidents and have continued building our experience using CAFS (Compressed Air Foam) on different types of fires.

We’re also continuing to work closely alongside the Winkleigh fire brigade, strengthening our teamwork and response capabilities.

This year we celebrated our Christmas party with Winkleigh Fire Brigade - a great way to wrap up the year. (See what we did there)

We also took the opportunity to present a range of awards, including the Tasmania Operations Medal, the infamous Mishap of the Year, and several long service recognitions. A special mention goes to Brigade Chief Liam for 30 years of service, along with James for taking out the unforgettable “Why did you run over those kids’ ball?” award.
