Wear It Purple - Colours of Courage

“Courage is not just expressed in big moments, but in everyday choices to live proudly and invite others into understanding, acceptance and celebration.”

Today Pulse Youth Health Service wore purple to celebrate the courage and strength of LGBTQIA+ young people, past and present, and the allies and community who stand with them.
We proudly support Wear It Purple and provide gender‑affirming care within our Pulse team.

We stand with q***r and gender‑diverse young people today and every day — you belong here 💜

Pulse were thrilled to be invited to Songs from the Street, hosted by City of Hobart today!

This free community event supports people with lived experience of housing stress and homelessness.
Cloe and Mai enjoyed the live music, connected with community members, and helped raise funds for The Salvation Army’s Street to Home program, which supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
They brought old CDs and Poscas to decorate with cool designs and inspirational quotes, a perfect match for the music theme.

Thanks to the Hobart City Council for having us, and to everyone who came down – we had a lovely time and would be excited to join Songs from the Street again.

NAIDOC Week is held the first week of July each year to acknowledge Torres Strait and Aboriginal First Nations people.

Pulse would like to use this time to show our acknowledgement of the Palawa and Pakana as the traditional owners of Nipaluna, Lutruwita

Pulse Youth Health is a free and inclusive service for young people aged 12-25.
We welcome people of all backgrounds to access our service.

We want 🫵🏼 (if aged between 12-24 years.) to come drop in to our drop in art group 😏 🖼️ 🎨 🧑‍🎨 👨‍🎨
Starting from the 17th of July at 3:30pm we will be having Ren run our art group.
As always the group is free and includes supplies and shnacks!
We hope to see you then!

We have been lucky enough to have been nominated for the Community Choice Award from the My State Foundation!! 🥳 🎉

To celebrate 25 years of the MyState Foundation, they are putting the choice in your hands! Voting for Pulse can put us into the running to receive a one-off $25,000 grant to help young Tasmanians reach their full potential.

If successful we hope to use the grant to expand our creative arts and music programs that support youth in southern Tasmania.
