Greater Hamilton Library Southern Grampians Shire Council is committed to delivering quality library services to residents and communities across the Shire.

Library services are vital to the community, providing essential services and facilities and creating a centerpiece for community hubs. The Mobile Library delivers a service to the regional locations within the shire. A timetable can be found both in the Library and online. The library is part of a shared service with the Central Highlands Libraries Group. The library runs regular programs which c

In addition, we run children's craft activities every school holiday. This page is monitored daily from 10.00am to 5.30pm and we will endeavour to respond to you within 2 business days. **Draft 2026/27 Council Budget Out Now**

Residents are invited to share their thoughts on the draft 2026/27 Council Budget released at Tuesday's Council Meeting.

Some of the Budget highlights include $17.245m proposed for the capital works program providing wide-ranging benefits for the community:

✅$6,744,000 for the roads program
✅$1,900,000 for the maintenance and renewal of outdoor swimming pools
✅$350,000 for work on HILACs Court One
✅$106,000 for the footpath program
✅$100,000 for required work on the spillway at Lake Hamilton
✅$100,000 for the 2026/2027 Stormwater program
✅$70,000 for the purchase of library books
✅$50,000 for playground renewal
