A HUGE congratulations to our very own soccer superstar, Mateo! 💙💛

Mateo represented the North Coast team at the NSW PSSA Soccer Championships this week and came away with an incredible achievement - being named Player of the Tournament for the North Coast team! 🏆👏

WOW, Mateo! What an amazing achievement and a wonderful recognition of your talent, determination and hard work. We are so incredibly proud of you! 💫

Keep chasing those goals, Mateo - watch out Socceroos, this young star might just be coming your way in the years ahead! 🇦🇺⚽🌟

🎶📚✨ BOOK WEEK AT KPS: A SYMPHONY OF STORIES! ✨📚🎶

What a fabulous celebration of Book Week at Kingscliff Public School!

This year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories”, certainly came to life as our school was filled with an incredible collection of book characters. From much loved classics to new favourites, our students (and staff!) looked absolutely AMAZING! 🤩📖

We were blown away by the creativity of the costumes! We know that behind many of them were parents and carers cutting, sewing, gluing, painting, searching cupboards and putting in lots of time and effort to bring favourite characters to life. Thank you! 💕 Your creativity and support helped make the day so much fun for our students.

And of course, a HUGE thank you to our wonderful librarian, Mrs Kershler, who was the conductor behind our Book Week symphony! 🎼📚 Thank you for all the planning, organising and enthusiasm that went into making this such a fantastic celebration of books, reading and stories.

With every student bringing their own character to the day, KPS really did create one very special Symphony of Stories! 🎶📚💙

Congratulations to Mahlou on her fantastic achievement representing Kingscliff PS and the North Coast at the Rugby 7s.

Mahlou made a really valuable contribution to the team throughout the championships, particularly with her developing work at the breakdown. She became increasingly effective at hitting rucks hard and helping us secure possession, while also providing momentum for the team to move forward. Mahlou was also part of the North Coast leadership group and showed effective leadership throughout the tournament, helping to keep the team positive and focused.

The girls improved steadily throughout the championships and there were some really strong performances along the way. On the first day, we pushed Sydney South West, who went on to be one of the finalists, and then finished the tournament on a high with a great 20–10 win over North West in our final game.

A special highlight for the girls was meeting Nicole Beck and having the opportunity to physically hold her gold medal. Nicole Beck is an Australian rugby sevens player who won a gold medal with the Australian women's rugby sevens team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. It was a memorable experience for the girls, and I’ll include a team photo with Nicole and the team.

It was a great experience for the girls, and Grace Sleba and I really appreciated the support from the schools in helping the players get to Kiama to represent the North Coast.

🌞 What a beautiful morning it was at our place today! The sun was shining and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, as our school community came together to celebrate.

Fathers, father figures, families, and students enjoyed a morning filled with positive energy, laughter, and connection. The vibe was special, with so many smiling faces!

We want to especially thank our dedicated P&C for organising a wonderful event – your effort makes such a difference. In particular, Conal went above and beyond, showing incredible thought and care to ensure the day was memorable for everyone. His attention to detail and personal touches were noticed and appreciated by all.

And let’s not forget the highlight of the morning: The Minion Hunt! It was a huge hit – our Kingy Kids loved searching for hidden Minion treasures around the school grounds, with some healthy competition and lots of fun along the way. The excitement and joy on their faces said it all.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to all our families for joining in. Days like these remind us of the wonderful community spirit at our school.❤️
