Lismore Toy Library Inc Lismore Toy Library has been operating for around 40 years and provides a wide range of toys for families in the area.

We are currently operating from a temporary location, while most of our toys are in storage after the 2022 Floods. Please come and see us or message us about becoming a member so you can borrow toys for your kids! Current location:
Meeting Room, 1st Floor, Central Shopping Centre, Lismore (14 Carrington St)
Opening times, during NSW school terms:
1st & 3rd Mondays, 2.30-4.30pm
2nd & 4th Saturdays, 9.30-11.30am

We are entirely volunteer run at the Lismore Toy Library, including every person on our committee! Want to learn more? And join our wonderful team? Sometimes what families need most is simply somewhere to go where they feel welcome.

Not every family is looking for a packed schedule or expensive activities. Sometimes it’s about finding a place that feels easy to walk into. Somewhere children can explore, play and follow their interests, while parents and caregivers spend time around other people who understand this stage of life.

Over time, toy libraries often become part of a family’s routine. A familiar face at the counter. A child heading straight for their favourite shelf. A reason to get out of the house on a hard week. A place that helps play feel manageable at home.

The value toy libraries bring to families can look different for everyone. For some, it’s practical support. For others, it’s connection, confidence, inclusion or simply having somewhere that feels welcoming and consistent.

When we talk about the impact of toy libraries, we’re talking about all of these things too. The small moments that help families feel supported, connected and part of a community.

The Lismore Toy Library needs your help!
Do you have two hours free a couple of days a term? Do you love the idea of volunteering alongside your kids? Then please reach out!
We are looking for new volunteers to help us continue to run.
Volunteers get their annual membership half price! Kids are welcome.
Handy with numbers? Communication? Repairs? We are also in need of committee members. The benefits of being on the committee? FREE membership, plus input into toy purchases and much more.

At the Lismore Toy Library we have plenty of large gross motor toys on offer.
Our Nook Lounge is great for building imaginary worlds, our wooden balance boards promote balance and agility, our roller coaster gives thrills and laughter, while our cosy coupe cars provide kids an exciting new way to roll around the backyard.
Come and check us out on the ground floor of the lismore library 2nd and 4th Thursdays and Saturdays of every month! (Within school term).

Did you know that research shows play is linked to children's social, cognitive, communication and social development? There's a very good reason that they want to play all the time.

Toy Library membership is a great way to refresh the toy selection at home. It's much cheaper than buying toys and more sustainable for the planet. Not to mention the storage capacity of your cupboard!

Come down to the Lismore Library and check out the Toy Library on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month during school term (3 pm-5 pm, and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month during school term (9:30 am-11:30 am).

May dates are Saturday 9 & 23 May and Thursday 14 & 28 May.

That gives your family access to hundreds of age appropriate toys that grow with your child as they develop and their interests change.

It's less toys filling up your home. Once your children are bored with a toy, pack it up and swap it at the toy library for something new and exciting 🔁
