The Greens are campaigning for the appointment of a Richmond River Commissioner. The benefits for having oversight of the incredible work being done by many and management of the waterway and its entire catchment will be an extraordinary step forward in returning our waterways to health. Drinkable, swimmable and fishable ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Richmond River health: A community in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales is fighing to save their โ€˜dyingโ€™ river.

The Greens are the only party supporting appropriate taxation that would see the majority of people better able to receive services, meet living expenses and enjoy quality of life.
It could not be clearer where interests lie.
The 1% are getting a free ride at our expense.
One Nation didn't bother to turn up.
Labor and the Coalition are one and the same captured by the gas industry.
It is entirely reasonable to expect to pay your fair share ... you would think ๐Ÿค”

The final day of National Reconciliation Week every year is one of the most significant in Australia.

Mabo Day, celebrated annually on 3 June, commemorates Mer Island man Eddie Koiki Mabo and his successful advocacy to overturn the legal fiction of terra nullius, or โ€˜land belonging to no-oneโ€™.

Following the High Courtโ€™s Mabo decision, Australiaโ€™s Federal Parliament passed the Native Title Act 1993 which established a legal framework for native title claims throughout Australia by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

and Mabo Day are a reminder to be โ€˜All Inโ€™ to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to commit ourselves to reconciliation and the fight for First Nations justice in Australia.
