Our hearts go out to the Jewish community following the tragic events in Bondi. At Ethnic Community Services (ECS), we have always upheld human rights principles and believe that everyone deserves the right to practice their faith and culture in safety.

Our multicultural aged care programmes began in Eastern Sydney in 2002, and for over two decades we have worked closely with the elderly Jewish community. Today, we stand united with them in grief and reaffirm our commitment to peace and unity.

We also acknowledge that moments like this can create deep fear and anxiety across many multicultural communities, particularly for Muslim communities who too often experience increased scrutiny and harm in the aftermath of violence. ECS rejects all forms of collective blame and calls for compassion, solidarity, and understanding rather than fear and division.

Together, let us continue to build communities where diversity is celebrated, and every person feels safe, respected, and valued.

Packing Hampers of Hope 📦🎄was led by our participants of Volunteer and Grow prigram. This Christmas, something truly special is happening. Across our community, participants of Volunteer&Grow program are gathering to pack Hampers of Hope, gifts filled not just with essentials, but with kindness, compassion, and the spirit of inclusion.
What makes these hampers extraordinary isn’t just what goes inside them. It’s who is behind them. As we deliver these hampers, we’re not only spreading Christmas cheer, we’re celebrating ability, empowerment, and community working together.

This season, let’s champion inclusion, recognise strengths, and continue building a world where everyone has the opportunity to give, connect, and be part of something meaningful. 🎄🎁🎄❤️🎄
