Autumn and winter are ideal times to plant trees and shrubs 🪴

Cooler weather and more consistent soil moisture help new plants establish strong roots with less water and reduced stress.

You’ll see our tree crew planting in nature strips, tree bays, and parks from May to August.

If a new tree has been planted on your nature strip, a quick drink of water now and then will help it settle in and grow strong.

Wanting to water less and have a healthier and more resilient garden? Add mulch to your garden beds!

Mulch helps retain moisture in the soil, reduces evaporation, and protects plants during hot days, perfect for Mildura’s warm climate.

Apply a 5–7cm layer of mulch to your garden beds to lock in moisture.

Adding a layer of mulch also helps suppress unwanted weeds and reduces garden maintenance. A simple step that saves water and keeps your garden thriving.
