💦 Lap Swimming is available at Mt Barker Swim School 💦

Mt Barker Swim School offers one hour lap swimming Monday to Friday.
⏰ 12pm & 1pm (except Wednesday)
⏰ 12:30pm & 1:30pm Wednesday

We offer six 25m lanes dedicated for walking and exercise, slow, medium and fast swimming. If you love swimming without the chill, our pool is heated to a cosy 32.5°C, making lap swimming enjoyable no matter the season.

Bookings are required so lanes are not crowded and are restricted to 2 swimmers only per lane.

Casual sessions are available or purchase a 10, 20 or 30 swim pass, valid for 12 months.

🔵 Tadpole Class - 4 to 6 months

We have vacancies available in the Tadpole class for 4 to 6 month olds.

🗓 Monday 11:30am, Wednesday 11:00am, Friday 11:00am, Saturday 11:30am (20 minute class)

What are the aims of the Tadpole Class?
✅ To ensure both parent and child are comfortable and calm in the water.
✅ Focus is on teaching parents to hold their child safely in the water.
✅ Begin the submerge process using the conditioning technique.

Our classes are held at quieter times of the day to allow parent and child a relaxed and positive learning environment.

What is Mega Swim?
It is your chance to clock your 400m Freestyle time and help you achieve advancement to the next level. It is your time to shine and push yourself to set new personal goals and records.

Swimmers from Bronze to Cowdrey are welcome to participate. Swimmers in Silver and above require a 400m time to move into the next level.

🔴 Australia Day Public Holiday Closure

Mt Barker Swim School will be closed for the Australia Day Public Holiday.

January fees have been reduced for customers who have scheduled swimming lessons on a Monday for this closure. No make up classes are required for this missed lesson.

💦 Making a splash - moving up to the next level in ability and age!

Starting 2026 with a big splash (and a few from our last day in 2025).

We are so proud of our young swimmers as they take the next big step in their swimming journey! When they master new strokes, building confidence in the water, each child has worked hard to reach this milestone.

Let’s celebrate their achievements both in and out the water and cheer them on as they dive into new challenges and continue to grow.

🔴 Limited Spaces are still available for our January School Holiday Program

Bookings close this Sunday for our SwimVac Program. Limited spaces are still available so don't delay and book today! Keep the kids active and learning life skills this holidays.

📆 Mon 12 January to Fri 16 January 2025 (5 days)
⏰ 9 am to 11 am
💦 Pufferfish, Sea Star, Sea lion, Swordfish (shallow and deep end), Focus class for Breaststroke and Butterfly stroke correction class will also be available.

Our 30 min or 45 min lessons will help progress the swimming skills of your child weather they are a beginner or more advanced swimmer.

🔺 Intensive learning:
SwimVac is especially helpful for new swimmers, those trying to master a particular skill or maybe stagnant in their progress, or simply wanting to fast-track their skills.

🔺Consecutive lessons:
SwimVac’s consecutive lessons provide swimmers with plenty of repetition, which is very important when learning to swim, and produces great results.

Our learning pathway starts with Aquababies. 👶🏻

From 4 months old to 2 1/2 years our Aquababies program is designed to help your little one feel comfortable and confident in the water. Through songs, games, and gentle water play, we create a nurturing and fun environment.

When joining our Aquababies your child will benefit from:
💦 Water familiarisation
💦 Motor skill development
💦 Building confidence and water awareness
💦 Enjoying valuable social interaction with other babies and families.

We also recognise that parent and child hold a special bond at this age. Parents are always in the water with their child and you are their greatest source of comfort and confidence. Learning together helps create a safe, calm, and supportive environment for your little one to thrive.

🏊 Missed a lesson? Don't forget your make up tokens!

The Swim School offers up to 4 months to reschedule a missed lesson. Lessons are easy to reschedule on the Swim Plus app. The School Holidays are a great time to book those missed lessons to help keep the kids stay active.

✅ Open the Swim Plus App on your device and log into your account
✅ Select Account on the bottom bar
✅ Select the child whom you wish to book a makeup class for.
✅ Navigate to makeups from the list and select available makeup tokens to see how many you have. Book a makeup session that best suits your availability.

Need some help with the App?
Talk to a Customer Servicer Officer next time you are at the swim school and they will be happy to help.

💧Remember to bring a water bottle to your swim lesson or squad training.

Hot weather means it is now more important than ever to make sure your child has a water bottle with them at every session.😎 Remember we also offer refills of your water bottle at the swim school if your bottle is empty!

Swimming is still exercise, even if you don’t feel sweaty! Drinking water helps:
✅ Prevent fatigue and dizziness
✅ Keep muscles working properly
✅ Improve focus and energy during lessons

Make sure you take a quick sip before, after and have your bottle available if needed during your lesson. One sip can make a big difference in staying cool and hydrated 💦
