What an incredible three days spent at the Narrandera TAFE campus for our young women who recently completed the Metal Emersion Workshop program! ๐
Delivered through the โWhere Do I Go From Here?โ program, this workshop gave young people the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience, build confidence and develop practical skills in a supportive environment.
A huge thank you to the Narrandera TAFE campus and teacher Craig Hill for delivering such a hands-on, engaging and supportive program for our participants. The confidence, growth and skills shown over the three days was amazing to watch.
Throughout the workshop, the girls gained an understanding of the metal fabrication industry while developing practical skills and knowledge around the metal fabrication process. As part of the program, participants completed their own metal bench chair project to demonstrate their skills and abilities and to make it even more special, the girls have decided that once the chair is powder coated, they would love to donate it to the Narrandera Hospital for the community to enjoy.
Participants also received a Statement of Attainment for successfully completing the course a fantastic achievement and something they should all be incredibly proud of.
A big congratulations to:
Saderina Chalkley, Tiffany Lee Baxter, Zoe Cottom, Nykeisha Charles-Bamblett, Lilly Irons, Missy Teao, Shellby Clifford, Sophie Heath, Alexa Appleby and Kyiah Watt.
We are also excited to announce that a boysโ three-day Metal Emersion Workshop for young males aged 15 years and over from across the Narrandera Shire will be taking place in the coming weeks. Information has already been sent out through Narrandera High School, Barellan Central School and local support services to help engage young people interested in participating. ๐ง๐จโ๐ญ
