🎡 | Narromine Show Saturday 5 September 2026
As we celebrate the 121st Annual Narromine Show, remember that the fireworks on Saturday evening can be frightening for our pets and may cause them to become distressed or run away.
Pet owners can prepare by:
• Keeping pets safely secured indoors during the fireworks
• Making sure they are microchipped and registered
• Checking that your contact details are up to date
Ensuring your pet is microchipped and registered with current details can be their ticket home if they ever go missing.
For helpful tips on caring for your pets during fireworks, visit the RSPCA NSW advice page at: www.rspca.org.au/latest-news/blog/caring-your-pets-during-fireworks-displays/
Make sure to follow Narromine Agricultural Show Society Inc to keep up to date with the excitement of the Show

🚶🏽| Media Release
A dollar for Dusty walking through the Narromine Shire.

Over the past few days, Narromine Shire has welcomed a very special traveller 12-year-old Dusty Langby from Warren, who is walking all the way to Canberra to raise money for Little Wings to improve regional paediatric health care awareness for all children living in the bush.

Dusty is hoping to raise an incredible $1 million through his journey and when he reaches Canberra, he plans to meet with the Prime Minister to help shine a light on the importance of better access to healthcare for children in regional and rural communities.

From Trangie to Tomingley, locals have stopped to say hello, show their support and cheer Dusty on as he continues his incredible journey.

This morning, Dusty said farewell to Tomingley and set off for the next leg of his walk.

Mayor Cr Ewen Jones said it was fantastic to see the Narromine region get behind Dusty and his important cause.

“Dusty is showing incredible determination for someone so young and his journey is a great reminder of the strength and generosity of communities in the bush. It was wonderful to see people across the Narromine region stop to welcome him, his Mum and their support crew to offer their support and wish him well on his journey.”

“It has been fantastic to have Dusty walk through our communities and we wish him every success as he continues towards Canberra,” Cr Jones said.

Safe travels, Dusty! We hope the road ahead is kind to you.
