We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton, a true icon whose, music, compassion and extraordinary talent touched millions around the world. Not only was she The Queen of Country Music, Dolly also founded The Dolly Parton Imagination Library, designed to kickstart a lifelong love of reading in children. Council is proud to be the driver of this fantastic initiative, locally and we thank Dolly for her unmatched legacy that will live on. ❤️

Dolly's family have asked that donations be made to continue her legacy of literacy in lieu of flowers. You can support our local program, Imagination Library - Tamworth Region, and make a donation online - https://donate.unitedway.com.au/donations-tamworth

“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, then you are an excellent leader.” - Dolly Parton
