Capacity Pathways OCTEC’s Capacity Pathways Program is a free advocacy service for NDIS participants.

Participants with a current NDIS plan are assisted to identify and fill gaps in their supports through working one on one with our dedicated Capacity Pathway advocates.

Capacity Pathways has two 'Real Impact, Real Benefits' networking events next month to work in your schedule. We’ve got some practical guidance to support you in confidently hiring and empowering people with disability in your workplace.

There will be an in person event:

Reconciliation Week is celebrated from today through to 3 June. This year's theme is ‘All In’, a call for all Australians to seek reconciliation every day.

➡️ 8.3% of the total active NDIS population are First Nations.
➡️ Autism remains the most common diagnosis among First Nations participants, mirroring broader scheme trends.
➡️ Indigenous Australian women are 34 times more likely to be hospitalised due to family violence, and 11 times more likely to die from assault.
➡️ First Nations people continue to be over-represented in the justice system, making up 36% of Australia’s prison population, despite comprising less than 4% of the total population.

Capacity Pathways is committed to doing what we can through all areas of advocacy to help close the gap.
