Thank you to everyone who supported our school at the recent Book Fair. We surpassed last year's record with $1980 in sales! As a result, we will get the opportunity to host a BOGOF Book Fair in Term 4 and we were also able to pick a huge array of new titles for the school!

Congratulations to the 2 teams that represented our school at the South Burnett Reader's Cup today. Since last term, these students have been reading, creating questions and quizzing each other to prepare for this reading comprehension quiz competition. Both teams were equally matched scoring 34 points and 34.5 points and competed in a field of 19 teams. Well done Proston!

The 5/6 class participated in a drone workshop today. Many of us left with new knowledge of how drones are being used for agriculture, natural disaster assistance and marine biology. We were complimented by the workshop teachers at just how quickly every picked up flying a drone and that everyone mostly stayed in their flight lanes. There was even extra time for an obstacle course showdown.

Today, Emmerson represented Proston K-10 SS and South Burnett with pride at the Wide Bay Trials for the 11/12 Years Girls Rugby League. As captain of the team Emmerson played fantastic games, showing skill and determination while being a fair sportsperson for her team.
With the performance she put forward Emmerson stood out to selectors and was selected into the Wide Bay Rugby League team to represent us at the State Championships in Mudgeeraba in August.
Well done Emmerson!

Congratulations to our colouring competition winners! Each student received a $10 voucher to spend at Book Fair. Our last session to purchase books will be first break tomorrow! In other news…. We have well and truly exceeded our goal of $1000 in sales. Way to go Proston K-10 SS, you are reading champions!

Check out some of the roar-some readers spotted at Book Fair so far this week! With two days to go, there is still time to stomp on in and get your claws on some fantastic books. Open before and after school tomorrow for card payments. Congratulations to our lucky winners of the Guess How Many Dinos competition! Colouring competition winners will be announced tomorrow, and Lucky Door Prizes will be drawn before school on Friday!
