Lunar Mining have partnered with Ensham Resources to offer 2 x Electrical Apprenticeships and 2 x Mechanical Apprenticeships, commencing January 2027, hosted at Ensham Mine.
As an Apprentice, you will follow a structured, industry-specific training plan. You will learn on the job from industry experts while completing your Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Certificate III in Engineering - Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic.
This fixed-term position operates on a balanced lifestyle roster, and we strongly encourage local region residents to apply.
You will gain exposure to a range of underground equipment and systems while developing a strong understanding of safe work practices, fault finding, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Complete trade training, workplace competencies and apprenticeship requirements.
- Assist with the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of underground equipment and systems.
- Comply with site procedures, statutory requirements and electrical safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the electrical and mechanical maintenance teams to support reliable mining operations.
Who are we seeking?
In the fixed-term position, the successful candidate will show an ability to work safely in an underground mining environment, demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, be motivated to learn and develop new skills, and have the ability to work constructively within a team.
The positions will be offered on a roster arrangement. Local residents are encouraged to apply.
