A quick call out for our crews this morning with a shed fire in Royston. 2 x Alphas and and an Echo urban fire trucks were already on scene and had brought the fire under control.
Stony Creek 51 and 41 with Villeneuve 51 were there to transfer water to the pumpers to keep them going. The Rural tanker arrived shortly after the 51s departed to refill.

Great work to all involved in preventing the fire from spreading and brining under control.

This is a great time to look around your property. Check the access is clear and wide enough for fire trucks and if possible have Cam-lock fittings on your water tanks for extra water.

Time is of the essence in these situations and it dosnt take long to discharge a truck load of water onto a fire.

We will see you on the next one Villeneuve Rural Fire Brigade

While we are in Moreton Bay Shire and not under the FIRE BAN please refrain from lighting any unnecessary fires.
Our crews have been extremely busy helping our fellow Brigades with fires in Villeneuve (Westvale) and Sandy Creek as well as other areas we don't need any extra jobs while out battling other blazes.

We thank you for the support we have received and our crews will continue to provide as much support as we can.

Stay safe and if you havnt already, now is a great time to review your Bushfire Emergency Plan and ensure your property is Bushfire ready.

Update: Now includes additional LGAs including Moreton Bay. Please see most recent post.

⚠️ Important information 🔥
The next coming days we're expecting increased Wind Speeds in excess of 15 km/h 💨

This Saturday in particular is forecast to be a 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿❗️

𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 your Fire Permits, 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 your Permit Conditions. All Fire Permits state a maximum Wind Speed Permitted as a requirement for you to burn;

If the weather conditions are not favourable or happen to exceed Permit Conditions?

It doesn't take much for a Controlled Burn to become Uncontrolled and Escape. Putting your Property at Risk, and your Community at Risk.
