🚧 Northern Inland Chapter Update 🚧

Today we held out Northern Inland Chapter Meeting at the Smithurst Theatre, The Civic, Gunnedah, where Nathan Skelly was elected their new Regional Chair, and Muhammad Aswad Hanif as the Young IPWEA Representative. Congratulations to both of them.

The meeting brought together public works professionals for a day of knowledge-sharing on local challenges. A special thanks to our incredible presenters, Richard Mould from Australian Concrete Mats, Leenita Gharwade from Gwydir Shire Council, Mark Gardiner from Tamworth Regional Council, Leo Quinn from Retina Visions, Rod Batterham from Liverpool Plains Shire Council, and Dirk Jol from Narrabri Shire, for sharing their insights.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to our Chapter Meeting partner, Australian Concrete Mats for their support in making this event a success.

This morning, our CEO, David Elliott, and ECORR - Eco Resource Recovery Pty Ltd Managing Director, Martin O'Connell, welcomed the Honourable Matt Kean, Chair of the Climate Change Authority, to the Ecorr Resource Recovery Centre in Wetherill Park. This state-of-the-art facility recycles 700,000 tonnes of building material annually, driving innovation and sustainability in the construction industry.

This morning our CEO David Elliott joined Jacaranda Flame Consulting student engineers from the University of Sydney for a tour of the Sydney Water Purified Recycled Water Plant. The students, who are working on a project to support councils in using recycled water for road construction, gained valuable insights into the processes and technologies behind recycled water.
