The Rock Central School

The Rock Central School The Rock Central School is located in the Riverina of NSW. Welcome to The Rock Central School Web Site. On the sporting field we are champions.

Our school is a comprehensive public school which caters for all of the needs of students at The Rock and surrounding communities, from Kindergarten to Year 10. We are a proud public school and promote the values of The Department of Education and Communities. Our aim is to provide the best education possible and our staff are committed to achieving this. Our academic standing is ever improving wi

th all students who attend our school being above the national minimum standard for literacy, in their respective grades. Our school certificate results are strong and our students are well prepared for exiting to schools for Years 11 & 12. We have strong representation in Athletics; Swimming; Cross Country; AFL; Netball; Touch Football and Rugby League and we encourage all students to participate regardless of their ability. We also make available to all students the full range of sporting opportunities provided by the Primary Schools Sports Association and the Combined High Schools association. The Rock Central also provides an excellent forum for our Creative and Performing Arts students in the way of outstanding Art; Music; Digital Media and Drama programs. We also cater for students wanting academic advancement in the area of Agriculture. Our students also excel in extra curricula activities such as Debating; community volunteering; student leadership via the Student Representative Council and fundraising, to name a few. These opportunities enable our students to be well rounded members of the wider community. During the last 12 months the facilities provided to our students have dramatically improved. All our classrooms have interactive white boards which are used by the teachers to provide up to date teaching and learning tools. They are also used by the students in their own learning to extend their knowledge of technology and promote independent learning opportunities. We also have two new Primary classrooms built under the Building Education Revolution, which also provides environmentally sustainable energy via 30 solar panels on its roof. All classrooms have computer access and technology is one of our focuses. Our canteen will be re-built and will be a modern state of the art canteen providing nutritional food which promotes a healthy lifestyle. We are also privileged to have a fantastic Parents and Citizens Association who actively participate in supporting the school, the students, the teaching staff and the wider community. Our partnership with our parents and our community is outstanding and as a cohesive group we all work towards the educational needs of the students. The school's ancillary staff, consisting of School Administration and Support Staff; Student Learning Officers; Farm Assistant and General Assistant are highly skilled and dedicated to providing support for all aspects of the school, the students and the teachers. The Rock Central School is a little piece of paradise. Our school provides a safe environment; quality education and promotes leadership and positive life choices. I am proud to be the Principal of The Rock Central School as our reputation is one of experienced committed teachers, supportive parents and community members and wonderful students. Donna Rockley

Yesterday we celebrated Thank a First Responder Day with visits from the NSW Police Force, NSW Rural Fire Service, and NSW Ambulance. They engaged with students through talks and activities, alongside a sausage sizzle, games, and we raised $383 to support First Responder mental health and wellbeing.
We sincerely thank you for your service and dedication.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is Thank a First Responder Day at TRCS!

We are excited to welcome local First Responders to our school, where students will have the opportunity to learn about the important work they do in our community.

Students are encouraged to dress up as a First Responder or Superhero and bring along a gold coin donation to support this special day.

We can't wait to celebrate and thank the everyday heroes who help keep our community safe!
