CURRUMBIN WIDLIFE EXCURSION
Stage 2 had a fantastic day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary last Wednesday, where students enjoyed a range of engaging experiences and learned about Australia's unique wildlife and conservation efforts. Lots of fun was had, and plenty of new knowledge was gained throughout the day. Staff and volunteers were extremely impressed with our students, commenting on their excellent behaviour, respectful manners, and enthusiasm for learning. We are very proud of the way Stage 2 represented our school.

WALGUN CAPE BYRON EXCURSION
Week 6 this term, K-2 enjoyed an excursion to Cape Byron Conservation Area where they explored inside the Lighthouse, learnt about its historical and cultural significance, and were told about the importance of environmental care of Cape Byron.
We were lucky enough that the rain held off for the day. The students were amazing and coped well with walking up 71 steps to the top of the lighthouse.

Our Year 3 & 4 students are off to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary tomorrow (Wednesday, June 3). The bus leaves promptly at 8:25am, please be at school by 8:15am.
Students need to be in full school uniform, including labelled school hats & school jumpers. Money is NOT to be brought along as no purchases will be made while on the excursion. Students are to bring their own food for the day & water bottle.

K-2 EXCRUSION - TOMORROW

The K - 2 excursion to Walgun Cape Byron State Conservation Area is still on tomorrow.

Departure time is 9am sharp - If your child usually catches the bus to school, you will need to make alternative arrangements for them to arrive at school by 8.45am. We will return to school around 2pm, in time for afternoon buses.

Students should wear full sports uniform, bring a hat, sturdy walking shoes, water, and adequate food (students may be hungrier due to all the activity)
Please ensure your child has a poncho or raincoat, a small towel and maybe some labelled spare clothes.
Please NO umbrellas.

Looking forward to seeing students at school at 8:45am.

The Japanese drummers attended the school today and put on a great performance. Students were able to put their drumming skills to the test in some class workshops.
