Jude has just returned from 2 days in Sydney playing at the 2026 Schools State Representative Boccia Tournament. Jude had a great time away meeting new people and getting immersed in the game of boccia.
Boccia is an inclusive sport for people with disability, it can be very intense to watch and requires great strategy and patience from players. It is similar to lawn bowls as you try to roll/throw your ball as close as possible to the white ball. After each end there is a bonus point round and one member from each team tries to roll a ball into a small square and get it to stop within the square without touching the lines. Over the two days we saw 112 attempts to score a bonus point and only 1 was successful! Jude was very close but unfortunately it was on the line so did not count.

Jude really enjoyed his time in Sydney and would encourage all students to give boccia a go, it is lots of fun!

At the end of term 2 Sarah attended the 2026 Riverina Choral Camp held by the Arts Unit for students in Years 5 to 12. Sarah had a fantastic time meeting new people, developing her musical knowledge and performing with the choir. We have just received these great photos of Sarah at the camp and wanted to share them with you. You can see at the end of the video how much of a wonderful time Sarah had.

Once again we had some very keen cooks in the kitchen on Friday cooking up some potato fritters. We had a second harvest of potatoes come through with some very big specimens this time. The students worked on their kitchen skills of peeling, grating and cracking eggs. We also had a surprise science lesson after washing the grated potato and finding the starch from the potatoes made oobleck! A fascinating, hands-on experiment blending cooking with science.

Our Walla Walla P&C Pasta Night was a fantastic success!

We sold 58 main meals, with the Bolognese proving to be a firm favourite, along with 45 delicious desserts.

Thanks to the wonderful support from our community, we raised approximately $950 for our school. These funds help provide valuable resources and opportunities for our students, including new library books, subsidised excursions, and sporting equipment.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who made the evening possible. Events like this simply couldn't happen without your time, energy and support. Special thanks to Cassie, Christina, Alexis, Chelsea, Aimee, Caroline and Steph for all your hard work.

We'd also like to give a special shout-out to our helpful Year 6 students who pitched in on the night: Josie, Seth, Mills and Dom. Your enthusiasm and willingness to help were greatly appreciated!

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported our Pasta Night. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
