πŸ“š Book Week πŸ“š

It was wonderful to see so many students dressed up to celebrate Book Week! Our students enjoyed engaging in craft activities inspired by nominated CBCA books, followed by a stylish parade for friends and family.

A special shout out to our Year 5 and 6 students who paired up with our friends from Wentworth Preschool to complete a craft activity and a buddy reading together.

A big thank you to Wentworth Shire Libraries for joining us and presenting our book prizes, to our resident MC Mr Jones and Mrs Cullinan for her phenomenal organisation!

🧬 Canberra Camp - Day 5 🧬

We started strong with a visit to Parliament House! We were lucky enough to see politicians speaking in both the House of Representatives and the Senate!

After morning tea, we went back in time and saw the Museum of Australian Democracy - Old Parliament House. The students noticed many similarities between the old and the new!

Questacon was our highlight today! So many hands on activities, interesting facts and pure gift shop fun ... and of course, science learning thrown in there too!

A lovely afternoon tea at the Mount Ainslie Lookout to finish off our outings before dinner, packing and bed!

We will let you know our movements tomorrow via Sentral messages and give you a precise time when we leave Euston. Our original estimation was close to or just after 6:30pm.

❄️ Canberra Camp - Day 4 ❄️

We had an impressive start to our day at the Australian Capital Exhibition. We learnt a lot about the planning of Canberra, the history and how it all can be to be!

After a lovely lunch at the National Botanical Gardens, we meandered through the rainforest gully and noticed a variety of vegetation and native birds.

Then it was off to the highlight of today - snow play at Corin Forest! There was many a snowman (and even a snow koala) built, snowball thrown and chases had through the snow!

What a great day!

πŸš€ Canberra Camp - Day 3 πŸš€

A brilliant start to our morning at the Deep Space Communications Complex! Our students were so engaged, asked interesting questions and explored the fascinating artefacts.

We saw many interesting paintings and sculptures at the National Art Gallery! The Australian Institute of Sport was another highlight. We saw their amazing practice facilities and got to test our skills with various games!

🌹 Canberra Camp - Day 2 🌹

We started our day with a tour at the Australian War Memorial followed by a much anticipated visit to the Royal Australian Mint. Learning more about WWI and minting our own coins were definitely the favourite experiences today!

After lunch, we went on our Embassy and Lodge driving tour and finished up at some fascinating exhibitions at the National Museum of Australia!
