🫢A sneak peek in the kitchen 👀 last Monday evening

Saucepans boiling, bubbling, mixing, rolling, searing, sautéing our Chefs 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 were busy. Kitchen prep before service for a special dinner event to celebrate our local WorldSkills Skillaroos.

Our Chefs served up a delicious dinner menu - baked dinner rolls, an entrée of scallop galette with braised leeks and balsamic pearls or Tea-smoked kangaroo with sweet potatoes and macerated dates, gnocchi with a sage burnt butter sauce or beef check with fondant potatoes, warrigal greens and trust tomatoes.

Then dessert (of course - who can say no to dessert!!!) baked wattle seed cheesecake with Davidson plum and pear crisps or Matcha sponge with white chocolate and lemon myrtle mousse 😍😋😋

A very special THANK YOU to our wonderful Head Chef Marco with our apprentice Chefs in the kitchen for providing such a delicious menu and to the excellent front of house service from our Hospitality students with their teacher Andrew.

Hello cutie!!! 👀💕 We can see you there.

Lucky last for this year's breeding program. Our Ag team are very pleased - 16 calves born, all healthy and doing well. A mix of bulls and heifers - 5 embryo calves from the new embryo transfer program undertaken this year and the rest from Clunie Range Bull, Uncle Sid, including 1 set of twins. 😮🤭😍

"TAFE NSW Wollongbar recently welcomed members of the Bangalow Garden Club to campus for a behind-the-scenes look at the exceptional facilities, programs, and expertise on offer across Agriculture, Horticulture, and Floristry.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our industry-leading training environments, share practical knowledge, and highlight the skills and experience of our teaching staff. Club members were able to tour our facilities, see student learning in action, and engage directly with teachers by asking questions and discussing a range of topics related to gardening, plant production, agriculture, and floristry.

Community engagement is an important part of what we do at TAFE NSW, and the visit was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen connections with local industry and community groups. It also demonstrated our commitment to sharing expertise, supporting lifelong learning, and providing accessible pathways for people interested in developing their skills and knowledge.

We thank the Bangalow Garden Club for their visit and look forward to continuing to build strong relationships within our community. 🌱🌸🚜
