✨New to the library ✨

We have a lot of novels in the library at the moment. With school holidays approaching, it would be great to have a few more kids books there.

Please only one or two, we tend to go from one extreme to another 😂

If you know anyone who is pregnant, there’s a fantastic book in the library that is a great read.

I’m also curious as to what people enjoy reading? Drop a comment & it might help others with their donations.

At Carlton House, spreading kindness and generosity is at the core of who we are. Giving back to our community, supporting local charities, and helping those in need are values we proudly uphold.

Our Community Street Library is one small way we can offer something meaningful — a free, accessible space where anyone can take a book, share a book, and enjoy the simple joy of reading.

We were incredibly fortunate to work with the wonderful Ciara Bastow from the Daily Liberal, who recently featured the work we’re doing within our community. It’s truly a privilege to know that something as small as a book can brighten someone’s day.

On behalf of the entire Carlton House team, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has stopped by — whether you’ve taken a book, donated one, or simply admired the library. Your support means so much.

Our book library is proudly standing in our yard and is open to the whole community. You’re warmly invited to come by, have a look, and take a book home to enjoy.

New to the Street Library! Sally Hepworth’s ‘The Family Next Door’. The adaptation is currently on . I devoured this book and am looking forward to watching the series ☀️

Lots of good quality secondhand novels in the library.
