🚒 To the dads and father figures who are always there…

Across Region South 2, our stations are filled with people who give their time, share their knowledge and lead by example.

Today we recognise the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, mentors and father figures among our firefighters, their families and the communities we serve.

Some wear a uniform, some support those who do, and many quietly make a difference simply by being someone others can rely on.

For everything you do at the station, at home and in your community, we hope you have a fantastic Father’s Day surrounded by the people who matter most.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙🚒

On Tuesday night, approximately 19:40, we responded to a house fire on the outskirts of town.
On arrival the property was totally engulfed by fire.
Our crew commenced defensive fire fighting operations with breathing apparatus.
Many thanks to RFS crews for their assistance and for water supply.
Unfortunately the property was completely destroyed however luckily all the occupants made it out safely.
Another thanks to Station Fire + Rescue 270 Cowra for the move up to our station. 🚒 🔥

Congratulations Steve. 🚑

Your dedication, courage, and compassion over five decades has made a lasting impact.
In moments of crisis, you have been a calm presence, a skilled professional, and a source of hope when it was needed most.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment.
We are very lucky to have worked alongside you and be guided by you in times of need. You have made a difference in more ways than can ever be counted.

🚑❤️ AMBO RETIRES AFTER 50 YEARS ❤️🚑

Today we farewelled a true legend of our emergency services family! ❤️‍🩹 Steve Pollard today retired from Young Ambulance Station after 50 incredible years of service to the NSW Ambulance, many of them spent here in Hilltops!

Today's turnout really says it all... in a room filled with family, colleagues, and emergency services personnel from across the region, it was clear just how loved and respected Steve truly is!

Fifty years of care, professionalism and showing up in the hardest moments - Steve has saved countless lives, supported countless families, and mentored generations of paramedics along the way.

Over the past eight and a half years, I’ve personally leaned on Steve’s advice and guidance more than once. His steady counsel has helped shape better outcomes for our station and for paramedics across the electorate. That kind of wisdom is rare and deeply valued. You will be missed more than words can say, but your legacy in Young and across the service is enduring.

Thank you for everything! What a career... What a contribution. Sx 💕
